Stew
To start things off, I plan on placing an order for my hookah soon but I'm a little hesitant. It was the same when I bought my guitar a few years ago. I had it picked out a week in advance and as the day grew near, I became uneasy about the purchase. The hookah I would LIKE to purchase is going to cost me about $120. I've got the money close at hand. Yet I still feel a bit wierd about it. Possibly because it's the first time I've made an online purchase. Possibly because my mother (whom I still live with until next year{when I go to a post-secondary school about 2 hours away}) thought my friends hookah was a hashpipe, in spite of us showing her the tobacco and debating for 20 minutes. Possibly because $120 is a lot of money for me to throw down at one time; I have been unemployed since March. How does everyone here feel about making large purcases? Do you feel uneasy before, after, or at all?
John Deere
I wish I felt uneasy about making purchases. Then I would have money! I wouldnt think twice before blowing $80.00 on ma'assel....ah wait I did that last week. I also have a compulsive eBay problem.
Seandoo
Yeah I know what you mean...I dropped something like that for mine even though I wasn't sure I was going to actually buy anything the night I got mine. Debated over getting a mini for cheaper, but figured I might as well get something I won't really need to replace for a long time and will be worth my money. I had a similar situation with my mom till I showed her the same things you did...it's like perfectly normal for me to have it now though since it's not like I hid it. In fact I did a speech on a "how to" kinda thing today for the hookah...mom thought it was a good idea haha so did the class. My point is, is things get better with time though they may seem uneasy now. If it's a good item, go for it and enjoy it instead of secondguessing yourself. -Sean
cypress
Well, I have made a few large purchases. It dont get any easier for me to think about it every time a new puchase arises. I always seem to spend right as much as I can afford. My advice is if you can afford it then get it. If you get something that is cheaper than what you really wanted then you might regret it. mushrat
I too, get the heebie jeebies when I spend more than 20 or 30 bucks on the internet. The only way I got the hookah I did was because my wife ordered it for me as a present. My only issue would be you mentioning you are unemployed. You sure you won't be needing the money for something more useful? $.
Stew
I've said twice today that there is nothing better that I can spend my money on than a hookah. It is worth it. So very worth it. I live at home still so I don't have to pay rent.
MR Bubble
My secret to internet shopping is to correspond with them for a while. Do emails and phone calls. The people who seem to want to communicate will give you the best service. I think if you stick with the main ones like: thehookah.com, shisha-hookah.com, hookahkings.com, hookahhook, you will be alright. These people act like they want to build a relationship. Oh, I can't forget about hookahcompany either. I would trust any of these. Enjoy, MR Bubble
