barrenwizard
TOBACCOWill the refrigerator helps conserving my tobacco?Should I just leave it the way it is packaged in?Is there any other solution to this?HOSEHow come my hose does not contain any metallic stuff but still have black particles coming out from within whenever I blew it? (The salesman told me that it 100% rubber and there's no metalic stuff in there "Iron, etc". Is there such a hose?)What causes this to happen? /\/\/\/\What should I do to prevent the situation above from happening again?NOTICE: As long as the your replies are related to things about this topic than its helpful enough. Sariél
1: Smiley says yes, Tangiers says no, I aggree with TG, and say no to the fridge.2: I put mine in a ziplock bag, then put the bag back in the cleaned out tub/can or a Ball preserves jar.3: see #2Hose:If it's all rubber, then you can run water though it with some pressure using a grommits to seal it to the kitchen sink or hose spigot. Then go outside and swing it around your head a few times, then hang the hose with ends pointed down, letting any remaining water drip out. An air compressor may also come in handy to dry it out.Edit:my signature isn't working, so::=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-That's just my opinion, I may be wrong. barrenwizard
I live in Malaysia. We are directly under the EQUATOR line. Which mean HOT AS HELL!! Humidity level here is high. You can go read books bout war in Vietnam and see what the soldiers will say about the weather there. Its no different. So again, about temperature. Is it suitable? 35 C to 40 C sometimes. Johnny_D
It would have helped if you mentioned your location in your opening post! However I doubt it is a major problem - Humidity might be more of one.The middle east also enjoys regular temperaturs of 35-40. But without the extreme humidity (?)I still would not store it in a fridge. Air-tight, out of the sun should be ok. Maybe a bedroom closet?JD
barrenwizard
Yeah, I have a roof above my head (HOME). Hmmm, that's a relief, thought that temperature alone would kill the TOBACCO. Alright, I'm going to make one MIXFRUIT flavour from NAKHLA.
spoolinspoon
maybe get something to take moisture out where you store it. Kinda like a giant humidor.
barrenwizard
Malaysia is a WET COUNTRY. Hence the source of humidity. In the middle east, its sand dune.

barrenwizard
Hy hookah vendor is like buying it from a supermarket. Nothing high-end but just low budget crap. The only Tobacco we have here is Al-Basha (The Crappiest), Al-Nakhla (The Boredome-ness), Al-Fakher (The Highness). No Fumari, or anything like that. Thanks. 1. No, it will dry it out faster, reducing its shelf life. In fact, living in a damp climate is too your advantage in terms of hookah tobacco...it should extend the shelf life of the tobacco. 2. If you'd like. In the US we have reusable food storage containers that are cheap, like Gladware and Ziploc. If you have those in Malay and they are cheap, I recommend those.3. No.4. Are the particles hard or soft. If they are soft, thats the rubbery stuff flaking off. If they're hard, then its rust. Don't believe anything anybody tells you. It probably does have metal coils in. Some hoses have those coils covered with plastic to prevent chunks of rust from coming off/rusting in the first place. 5. Rust, water.6. No. Edited August 13, 2007 by Sonthert
