spoolinspoon
I run all of mine once or twice a month thru a "deep cleaning process". Lemon/water mixture and baking soda.IMO there is really no point of cleaning it like that all the time unless your smoking out of it 24/7 or there is a smell that is attached to the stem or base. racemyghost
I wash it out right after each session following these steps:1. I take out all the used tobacco.2. Run it through warm/hot water and use my finger to wipe off all the molasses.3. Brush off all the black dried tobacco stuck on the sides of the bowl and on the glass mod.4. Rinse again under warm/hot water.5. Dry off with a paper towel.6. Phunnel looks like it was never used.

nestormakhno
This may be a dumb question, but is there any harm in using dishwashing soap on it? I may be too lazy for lemons and baking soda...

spoolinspoon
Just run some hot/warm water and get as much of the crap off as possible after you finish smoking.I was saying that I clean my hookahs with baking soda and lemon juice once or twice every month to get any remaining crap or smell out. Sonthert
All Tangiers are dishwasher safe. Supposedly. I would avoid running the heads through in a cycle with dishwashing soap in there...go without. Or you can soak them in a bucket of water overnight.
