New Memeber + New Hookah

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,
New member here from London, UK...
Been smoking shisha at lounges and restaurants etc since the beginning of the year, and very occasionally, so I guess I'm pretty much a beginner to this wonderful activity.

A few of my friends have recently bought hookahs, and the comfort of using them at home is incredible, with drinks, food, YOUR music etc on hand. Nevermind in the park for a really chilled afternoon.

Today I finally bought mine, and I'm so happy with it. I believe it's pretty good, and at the price I paid, it definately was a good deal. It'll pay for its self after a few sessions...

Anyways, It came in a briefcase, with all the accessories - tobacco, coal, mouthpieces, 2 bowls, tongs, tobacco box, coal holding thing, and little metal bits to use instead of foil. All in all came to £55 (£50 special price just for me rolleyes.gif , and on pretty good sale).

Take a look, and tell me what you think. I think it looks nice, and it's incredibly heavy and feels quality, but you tell me. Will take more pics with better camera, all set up etc.

(Oh and before you ask, I left the tray at my friends house. I knew I forgot something rolleyes.gif )

At first I was like WOW! That thing for only $50!! But then I remembered its 50 Quid. Stupid me.

But anyway, great piece you have there! It looks great and I'm sure it smokes well too. Welcome home

Was on sale as well lol. Would never have justified spending full price on a first one usually. I was hoping to spend 30, which is the "normal" price, for just the hookah. Then I thought that I would probably need all this stuff anyway, so why pay more when I can get it all at the same time. And in one convenient box, which was one of the main points, as this baby will probably spend more time out of the house than in...

As I said, tray is with my friend... Quite annoyed, but I won't need it til tomorrow, and he'll bring it with his anyway.

Went into a nice store selling fancy arab decorations - the coffe sets etc. There were some nice hookahs there! I asked what kind of prices and the women says "well we have lots of sizes varying from £40-250" ohmy.gif
They were all shiney, but still! Also saw a hookah taller than me (5'9"). Now that was impressive...

Sorry if I write too much sometimes tongue.gif

Thanks for all the responses guys.
I can see from what I've been reading the past few days that this is a friendly forum with nice, chilled, knowledgeable people. Makes a big difference to my other regular forum!

camel - you have a lady friend? i think we all know that women are great at sowing... just take her shopping or whatever without complaining one day, then the next day be like "yeah.... i need you to sew me up a hookah case that looks like this"

if you want to be real nice, you can supply the thread and needles!
