Toronto, Ontario Hookah Smokers

Recommended Posts

well, a couple people in the toronto area were looking for a local shop to purchase hookah supplies and i had mentioned to them about Nasr Foods because other people have told me about it.

today i finally got off my lazy ass and decided to head down to Nasr and take a look at the store.
it is a middle eastern supermarket (probably the biggest one ive seen so far with 3 or 4 checkouts) located at the northwest corner of Lawrence & Warden.

pricing on accessories seems to be fairly decent but pricing on tobacco is through the roof.

3 kings 33mm quick light charcoal
i already have a box on order from pimpyourhookah but i figured i would buy another box since they were only $11.95CAD+tax.

the purpose for my trip to nasr was to get a bowl. my egyptian came with a stainless and its too shallow.
i got this bowl for $2.99CAD

as the lady was calculating my total, i saw these coals on the shelf beneath the 3kings. it said $1.49 for one tube or $8.99 for a box of 80. ive never heard of black diamond brand quick lights before but i liked how they came in plastic tubes with a screw on/off cap so i bought one to try.

i saw a couple mya qt's there in the metal cage with brushes and bowl for $50CAD which i think is a fair price.

i asked the lady if any stores sold al fakher and she showed me a 50g box of grape. the price on it was $14.99. they are the only store ive seen selling al fakher in toronto so far. 50g nakhla and el basha were priced around $12-13. canada's tobacco tax is absolutely insane.

they also had three brands (i cant remember which since ive never seen them before) of natural coals at the bottom of the shelf but i didnt ask for pricing.

anyway, i think this is the best store in toronto to buy hookah accessories. for tobacco there are many smaller stores that sell for a lot cheaper since they dont pay/charge tobacco tax and duties.

edit: they also sold quite a few flavours of soex but i didnt check pricing since i have no interest or desire to smoke that stuff. Edited by chinamon

Thanks a lot, your research is well appreciated! biggrin.gif

no problem.
im always on the hunt for a good store that sells hookah related items.
my girl told me that her friend took her to a place in north york (peanut plaza) that apparently has a lot of shisha stuff.
her friend started speaking arabic to the guy and the guy wouldnt sell her anything. so my girl started speaking persian to him and he asked "what flavours would you like?" lol
she said she will take me there one day when we both have the time to go... more like when she has the time to go since i have all the time in the world. Edited by chinamon

  • 5 years later...
I just popped in there today and they have a decent selection of hookahs and thier Al Fakher shisha is $7.99 alot cheaper than some other small shops I've been to. They are nice in there as well. Keep in mind that I'm posting 5 years later than the last post.
The Hookah community has become much larger so there is a greater demand now than there use to be.
