How many people here who smoke shisha from a hookah, often, ALSO smoke cigarettes?

If you do smoke cigarettes, do you cough alot when you smoke shisha from a hookah?

I used to smoke cigarettes socially before I smoked hookah, but after I started with nargileh, I couldn't for the life of me get through smoking a cigarette because it just tasted so shitty compared to the hookah.

I smoke cigarettes socially as well. However, I've never ever had a problem with coughing with either hookah or cigarettes. Then again, you'll have to consider my choice of cigarettes. Cloves and menthols. Thats it. I hate normal burning tobacco taste.

Where exacltly are you going with this, if I may ask? If you're trying to compare the short term effects of cigarettes and hookah on the respiratory system, I'd have to say that hookah is far more severe. So much more gunk is going in your lungs, plus the charcoal. There's a reason I only smoke one or two bowls per day -- if I smoke much more, I start having upper respiratory problems. I've quit cigarettes and moved on to shisha. I only smoke cigs when I'm drunk and don't have a hookah. Its just the way it works.

i smoke hookah and also cigarettes regularly.... however i have cutt my cigarette smoking down since starting hookah... i do not cough when smoking hookah at all normally... however i have noticed that after smoking hookah a cigarette is HORRIBLE... and burns really badly...and taste redicuously bad... hope this helps...

yeah, i've heard and found out with my brothers friends that if your in the habit of smoking cigs, then stop for a little, and go back to the habit, it completely tears your throat apart.

never seen that happen with hookah though, and I've actually never seen anyone cough from hookah either.

i've on again and off again smoked cigarettes while smoking hookah has remained a constant...i don't cough during either activity, but i get a lot of phlegm and nasty shit in my throat when i smoke both, but nothing really when i'm only smoking shisha.

i cough occasionally when smoking cigs, but rarely when smoking hookah usually someone makes me laugh or i choke on my own spit with smoke in my lungs.... not fun

Okay so the majority of you don't cough between cigs and hookah.

Kinda odd and point to me asking everyone here was because of my friends. They all smoke cigs and when they chill at my place and I bust out the hookah, they all have a hard time inhaling alot before they have to cough out a lung.

I've noticed the same thing. Heavy cigarette smokers seem to have trouble smoking hookah. Heavy w-ed smokers tend not to. It goes away, also several people who switched from cigarettes to hookah have observed their short-term health seems better. Not that it is, but it seems better to them. Can't explain why for any of this...unless it has something to do with the ascendence of Aquarius in the Siderial Year. Probably not.

i smoke about 3 - 4 ciggarettes a week..cough a few times from that..but smoke shisha about 3 times a week and never cough..unless something funny happens and i laugh

to the 2nd question you asked, i enjoy starbuzz the most, i get the best flavor out of it out of all the brands ive tried so far, and the heat management is really simple with it.

ive smoked hookah for nearly 7 years and i never smoked cigarettes. i rarely have one, but it never makes me cough. the hookah only makes me cough when it overheats and i gotta readjust

I fluctuated between heavy and "light" smoking on a daily basis for about a year, and it's not that I cough during hookah, but it does make me wheeze, for some reason. Cigarettes, however, don't.

Right-on, China-mon -- that's all I would smoke over there, they're pretty damn good.
