I enjoy a cigarette from time to time. About 1-3 per month usually. Unless I'm in Japan... then it's like half a pack a day. I smoke hookah everyday at least once, and I don't usually cough.

yeah.. i was smoking those when i was in hong kong for a month.. with the odd pack of marlboro lights... i wish i could order mild sevens and have them mailed to me... they are definitely the best cigarettes i have ever smoked in my 15 year smoking career.

If you had to choose one brand of shisha and ONLY one brand, which would be your favorite and WHY?

Al Fakher because the price is moderate and quality seems to be better than almost all other brands in its class.

I've noticed the same thing. Heavy cigarette smokers seem to have trouble smoking hookah. Heavy w-ed smokers tend not to. *snip*

Funny, I've noticed the opposite. Most of my friends are cigarette smokers, and none of them have had a problem with hookah. Even my non-smoker friends do fine with the hookah. But, when I took my hookah to my family reunion, where there were a lot of mj smokers, they were constantly gagging, or pulling water into the hose, from trying to "clear" the damn thing >_>

Anyway, I smoke close to a pack of cigarettes a day, and I smoke the hookah ~about~ 6 times a week. I never cough with cigarettes, unless something makes me laugh. I only cough with hookah when it gets harsh, or something makes me laugh X]

My favorite shisha so far is Layalina, because it has good fruity flavors, and it smokes well for the price. If money was no object, I would probably smoke Starbuzz a lot more, tho I don't personally feel that it is SO much better to warrant such a high price.

I'm waiting on my first Tangiers order right now, so my opinion may change. I'm ready to smoke something that I can feel

I'm in the process of making a film about hookahs and shisha, the ups and downs basically. I need to know...

How many people here who smoke shisha from a hookah, often, ALSO smoke cigarettes?

If you do smoke cigarettes, do you cough alot when you smoke shisha from a hookah?

Don't smoke anythine else besides Hookah and never have (like most of my friends).

One question I was wondering; I can understand if you started smoking cigs before Hookah and still enjoy it now but how do people who've been smoking Hookah for years then go ahead and try a cig and get into the habit of smoking them often? I've only tried cigs after I started smoking Hookah and it just tastes like I'm using my Hookah to smoke some a nasty flavor. Edited August 17, 2007 by Gaara

If your talking to me, I don't smoke cigs at all. I tried 1 once and hated the taste and their was no feeling or point in it. Just the burning nasty ass taste...what the hell?

Reason I'm asking everyone was because of my friends and how they smoke cigs alot and whenever they come over to smoke some shisha with me they have a hard time handling it. This is also perhaps a comparison I could use for the film. In the film I know Shisha is definately going to be compared to cigs and other tobacco useage.

So far from what I can make of everyones post, not to many of you smoke cigs often enough to have problems with hookah. I still am in the theory that heavy cig smokers have problems with shisha because the amount of smoke you inhale is to strong compared to that small little puff from a cig. But this may not be the only reason, so hence why I'm asking everyone

That's true IMO. At least looking at my friends. The few that I have that smoke cigs usually cough when we smoke Hookah much more than the non smokers or they can't inhale enough amount of smoke like the rest of us do.

I smoke cigs (couple packs a week) and have no problem with the hookah. As for question number two i love nakhla (good buzz and flavor, plus its cheap) with starbuzz and tangiers in a close second (too pricey round here).
