Need Help With Milk In Base

Last night I tried to use a mixture of skim milk and mostly water in my base to make my smoke creamy. Instead, the milk just bubbled up in the base, making the milk come up into our hoses. I've heard of other people using this method and not having a problem before. Is there some sort of secret to it or do I need to use a different type of milk? Edited August 17, 2007 by HerxEternity

We used barely any and still had lots of bubbles. Maybe skim makes too many bubbles?

I doubt it... All I drink and use in hookah is skim milk and I dont seem to have that problem. Try experiementing with different ratios

Come to think of it, that's about what I've found works for me too. However, if you want a creamier smoke, get a higher fat content milk. That may or may not require a different dilution ratio. I used a coffee creamer the other day of the previously stated amount, and suffered no bubbling.

wat pipe are u using? the more milk u put in, the bigger ur base needs to be. so there's more clearance from the top of the waterline to the base of ur stem.

im smoking with semi skimmed milk in the base right now..itz a 3 part water to 1 part milk ratio im using..seems to be working fine with no bubbling up, maybe try a different brand of milk?

I've tried it with milk and I was warned by people that milk my come up in the hose, try not to fill the base too much, only leave like 3 quarters of an inch between the stem that usually works.

I 've tried using only milk in my rig and it was completetly fine. I tried it both in my 30" egyptian ( the base is 12" tall) and my 26" rotator
and was ok but i do not recomment it. Using half water works best in big hookahs

dry creamer works realy well, and does not bubble as much as milk

rice milk works prtty good, doen;t bubble as much

try some canned condensed milk... sometimes its on sale at super markets. Ive heard it works well...about half a can with water.

Yeah, I have to agree with Sonthert... Go with water... If you really wanna mix it up though, put some wine in the base, or vodka or something... Milk? Ehh..

If you have cold water ou wont notice the difference with the milk.
Milk is just denser than water at room temp. But if you put iced water its almost as dense as ild and also cools the smoke more.

Oh come on. Milk adds a creamier texture to the smoke...WHICH, is wonderful. So quit the whinning, ya lactose intolerant fools
