I Pulled The Trigger On The Km Tri-metal

Recommended Posts

Just out of curiousity, do you use any plastic mouth tips on that hose? I bought some of the female kind (they go around the hose tip), hoping that they will work. I hate the male kind, and have another hose* that fits the female type, so it's not a total waste if they don't work.

*off topic: it's a Mya wide hose. Does anyone sell them anymore? It's a really nice hose.

I know, these threads don't actually accomplish much, but I was wondering if anyone else here even has one of these? I'm completely stoked to get it and try it out.

32" Tri-Metal Khalil Mamoon

Mine arrived Tuesday and I'm lighting her up for the first time tonight.......I have Tangiers (thanks Eric!) and even Nour coals for the occasion.... Even before smoking her though, I will say this past week I've just sat and looked at her for a few minutes at a time. If they smoke as good as all KM seem to, plus how eye-catching it is, I may have just bought my all time favorite hookah.

Apparently they are backordered on the base in the picture, so they gave me the option of switching to a red base, and I took it. I like red, I suppose, and it's supposed to be identical to the original base but with red in place of the salmon-y copper color. Cool beans. Edited by Glottis2

That pipe looks really nice. It just looks to me like the end of that hose would have so much leverage that one could break off the tip by pulling too hard on it.

the plastic mouth part comes off i think if its like the nammor hose, unless you mean the end that goes into the stem then maybe. Edited by lilbrownindian

Don't worry, when I take pictures of it I will try to make it look as shitty as possible, so you aren't tempted.

That thing is looks amazing, does it still have the brass core like the other KM hookahs?

Yes. I'm hearing though that KM is going to staiinless steel and the Tri Metal is the last of the full brass cores. I may buy another one just for that fact alone. Never mind that it has turned in one weekend into my all time favorite hookah.

I bought a couple from Hookah Company, I believe they are coated steel, like every other Egyptian pipe now. The Amers at HC are an old stash of brass core pipes...although the styling and construction on the tri-metal is much nicer, in my opinion. Interestingly enough, KM got rid of the long flange from the bottom of the bell with the brass cores...the bottom of the shank bells look normal-ish now.

I believe all the steel called stainless steel is really coated or galvanized (nickel or zinc plated). It protects against rust...until the layer rubs off.
