Top Hookah Produts...

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, I am new to the forum but have been smoking hookah for a little over 5 years. I recently purchased a nice two hose hookah.

I am not the best at setting this stuff up I know how to light it and basic set up but was wondering how to get the best smoking enjoyment out of your hookah?

I have put ice in the water, vodka and even milk. I have heard of freezing the vase for an hour or so to get a smooth hits. Basically what is one of the best ways to get smooth and long last hits?

What are the best coals?
What is the best shisasha/tobacco?

Just some nice advice.
Thanks!

You've basically listed all the things i do for a nice, thick, smooth smoke. Cold water or other stuff in the base, and I personally like to use a windcover regardless of where i smoke because it stops ash dust from getting everywhere and it is a lot more consistent in terms of heat management. The one thing you didnt list is patience. Let the coals get well lit and let them rest on the bowl for a few minutes before you start smoking, it lets the heat even out a little bit so you're smoking a lot of perfectly heated shisha instead of just whats under the coals.

Yea I got a windcover today for 6 bucks. That was pretty sweet. When I normally light the coals I use the tong to hold it obviously and then after it does the "red stripe" i wait a few second and put in on the shisha then the windcover on. Your saying to wait longer?

for your last two questions of the best coals and tobacco there is no clear answer. everyone has their own specific preference. while some agree on some others wont agree so just try different brands and see what you like. even if you find a brand you love and think its the best you will find that some of their flavors will suck and if you try another maker with the same flavor it will be much better.

go out and get a sample of whatever you can and try them so one day you are going to have an "orange day" and smoke every brands orange and see which you like and which you hate. if you hate it put it on the never buy again, if your ok with it put it on the incase of emergency list and if you love it put it on your buy again and keep it in stock list, and try this with every flavor.

as for coals its also personal preferance. do you like naturals or quicklites, and so on by like what flavor it gives if any, or how it ashes and ease of lighting. its easier to test coals as you get a flavor that you love and smoke it different days with different coals and see which you enjoy more. then try another good flavor and do the same tests and see which come out on top.

you will spend A LOT of money but you will find what you like.
