John Deere
Well I finally got my windcover. I think The screen and the windcover just might be the perfect combo for me. At first the screen was working ok, so I thought, but I constantly had to mess around with it, and sometimes it burned, but others it wasnt hot enough. screen without w/c = too little heat, foil without w/c = OK sometimes, foil with w/c = way too frickin hot, chance of molten aluminum?, but screen WITH w/c = PERFECT. If anyone else has had the same problem I have been having with the screen, a windcover might be the solution. also, my coals lasted longer as well, probably because they were surrounded by their own heat. SCORE!! I am very happy right now
yashman19
If you're smoking outside and use a windcover, one of the reasons the coals might last longer is because the wind isn't getting to the coals. Whenever I smoke outside and the wind is blowing, the coals burn a lot hotter from the wind and thus don't last as long. My large 36" hookah came with a nice brass windcover, but with my large bowl that I use, the windcover isn't able to touch the tray....it would rest on top of the head piece, which doesn't work to well. So I can't give you any of my combinations with foil/screen/windcovers. Sorry, but I'm happy that you were able to figure a combo out
mushrat
For those without windcovers who still would like to have a similar heat build up/oven effect, I posted pictures for a foil chimney a while back on this thread: http://www.hookahforum.com/forum/forum_pos...asp?TID=1192&am p;KW=foil+wrap This worked great. yashman19
I've always wanted to smoke in the car, and I knew that the coals would be the tricky part because of the bumps in the road. I think I might have to try this at some point
John Deere
I'm pretty sure the Turks would dissapprove!
cypress
I have always wondered about the hookah in the car. I always thought the safe way would be to have one of them heaters and an ac inverter.
John Deere
hmm just imagine getting pulled over with that baby in your car!
mushrat
Take up the pipe...It'll be safer for those long drives. Plus you can get some very sweet and funky flavoured tobaccoes... Perhaps I'm just getting boring in my old age...but driving down the rd smoking a hookah just seems likes its asking for bad things to happen...
