Ever Have That Good Feeling?

Im talking about that feeling when you're just in the mood to clean the bleep out of your hookah.

I just got done smoking AF mango (delicious by the way) and just had this adrenaline type of rush to clean my hookah.

Mine gets cleaned with the brush and hot water after every session. Tonight was different though.

Followed the usual steps, took apart all possible pieces. Ran them through hot water and scrub them down. Then rinsed with hot water again. (here is where that good feeling comes out), i busted out the ice cold vodka from the freezer!! Poured it down the stem and just watched the stem cloud up (because its so cold) and shook it up inside the stem for some time. Rinsed it out with warm water (did the same for everything else excluding my phunnel,hose, and charcoal + hose tray) and towel dried it. Now it rests in pieces for the air dry process until i wake from my sleep tomorrow to my 100% dry, 100% clean hookah and smile (kind of like this ) lol

i get that random feeling once a week where i want to clean the hell out of it, take it all apart and give it a scrub down.

I really should get back into the habit of cleaning right after each session. I've taken to letting her sit on the porch over night and getting to cleaning at some point the next day, usually right before I go to smoke her again.

after every 4 or 5 smokes i get the inkling to clean her nice and good, but up until that point...eh...i run water through the stem to get the nasties out, but that's about it.

We have just made it part of our smoking ritual. My boyfriend and I have differnt "jobs" we both take care of when we smoke. He lights the coals for me, and dis-assembles the hookah after smoking. I assemble the hookah, pack the bowl, and scrub the daylights out of it after smoking. He cleans the charcoal pans. I am in charge of charcoal when smoking. This is a new hookah - so the thrill is still there for me whenever I clean it. I hope that thrill doesn't go away. I figure, if I don't have time for a good cleaning afterwards, I don't have time to smoke.

Nah, you don't sound like a dick. It's totally true. And I am the first one to admit I am completely OCD with my hookah. My friends so make fun of me.
