How To Set Up This Kind Of Hookah

Recommended Posts

Hi people.

I just bouth my first hookah, but... i have notice that this is a little different model. This one doenst have a ceramic bowl, it is totally made of brass, the hoose is very very long too... maybe 5 foots long each one (it have 2), in the outside of the base is very shiny, but in the inside is very very rough, i have check it introducing my finger.

I havent make it work because i dont know where or how to place the tobacco and the coal... i leave some pics of it for you wacht it.

Greetings...

just put the tobbaco in the bowl and cover it with foil or a metal screen then put the coals on the screen or foil. The little cover is a wind cover so you can put that over the bowl after you got your coals on it

atleast thats what i think

Hrrrrrmmmmmm.... I could be wrong, but that type of hookah (ebay, right?) is not really made for smoking the type of tobacco most of us here smoke. I think it is made more for tombak, a "traditional" tobacco without any added flavors where the coal is placed directly on top of it (not on foil or a screen). Also, if you compare it to the hookahs most people usually smoke, it looks like it might even be a more decorative type piece than something you'd use everyday. Does it come apart at all? How do you get water in the base? How can you tell how much water is in the base? I don't want to burst your bubble at all, but I'm not sure you'll be satisfied with the smoke quality you get out of that machine. Hopefully some others will chime in too, and perhaps offer some more information.

def. for smoking traditional tobacco. Holes in the bowl are too small / close to allow for enough air to pass through for the type of smoke produced from the shisha we smoke. But traditional tobacco will produce smoke that will flow through fine. Sorry if thats not what your looking for =(

It looks cool tho =).

this is a very nice hookah.. and from my experience this hookah is definitely made for smoking traditional tobacco bc when you smoke that u add alot of tobacco in the bowel .. also like someone said the holes are too small for flavored tobacco .. also its made for 2 ppl to smoke at the same time .. u can get over that by closig tone hose with ur finger while smoking from the other one ..
like everyone said u should just change the bowel and get the right one and u would be ok then wink.gif

Give it a go like a regular hookah with shisha. wind cover looks too small to use with a coal on foil so i wouldn't use the cover. you never know it could be amazing... and where'd you get this?

I gonna try to modify a regular bowl to fit inside the biger one the holes in the brass bowl looks smaller in the picture that they really are... i trust it will work... as soon as i made the mod i will report it ; )

And answering to The King... i get this in a gallery here in Mexico City, they said that there was just 2 available since 8 years, the first one sold 2 years ago, and the last i bought it last month for $1100 mexican pesos, about $100 dolars. Edited by SuperGolfo
