NERV
My local shop got a new brand in, im not exactly sure what it is the box says both "hennawy molasses tobacco" and "el mazag" Scent: It has a very unique scent, the most complex one i've smelled. I smells like apple, sour apple jolly rancher, apple taffy, and cotton candy. Cut: It's got a good cut, finer than nakhla, not as fine as al amir. It's about as wet as al amir. Taste: It's a very good taste, not too strong. I don't taste any licorice in it at all. The taste is very sweet. Smoke: The smoke is thick, cool, and mild. Buzz: Nothing yet but I havent been buzzed by the hookah in a long time so it might be stronger to other people. Overall: 9.5/10 I would like the flavor to be just a tad stronger but otherwise it's a great smoke and i would reccomend it to anyone. I also found a funny thing, the box says "since 1933" but they dont seem to have a website of their own, the company's email address is @hotmail.com
yashman19
Sounds good. Quick question, how much was it, and could you compare that price to what you pay at your local shop for nahkla, just so I can get an idea? Thanks!
NERV
it was $4.49, nakhla is $4.

NERV
oh and upon further smoking of this new apple, there is a slight hint of menthol to it, thats why the smoke seems unusually cool, its ntohing compared to mint tho, just a hint
mushrat
Been meaning to ask... about the menthol in the 2 apple people keep mentioning. Are you all SURE its menthol and not just the cooling effect of the Anise?

mushrat
Fair enough... Just wondering. People have talked about menthol in Nakhla and I've never tasted it myself so I was just curious.
cypress
I have tasted that cooling affect and I thought it was the menthol/mint in Nakhla. I didnt get the cooling affect with the Sarah. I think we might need to research this a little better. Has anyone tried this mixture, apple, sprinkle of green apple, sprinkle of licorice and a sprinkle of mint. That might get pretty close to a double apple. I dont know it was just a random thought.
