the bowl that comes with my qt was wrapped in one layer of bubble.. then the qt itself was wrapped in two layers (one of the layers actually went around the qt two or three times)
my phunnel bowl was wrapped in a layer of bubble too..
and then the rest of the box was filled with peanuts

i figure it this way, he probably realized how much he was having to eat on the free shipping deal and tried to save as much money as possible by going light on the packing materials. in this case it didnt work out, and hopefully he will get back to me quick on how they want to handle this.

ha. peanuts are cheap and light. wouldn't have saved much at all if any. Maybe he forgot. IDK.

you would think. i kind of had a sinking feeling when i was handed the box, cause it looked like it was stuffed full and held together by the tape. no fragile stickers either, although i doubt it would have made much difference. it was dropped hard enough to almost bust open the roll of quicklights. i want to wait and see how spoon's stuff was packed since his went out on the same day.

i mean it looks like it was a beautiful hookah before it got the postal service treatment. Edited by camelflage

The USPS hires all the punters who weren't good enough to make the UPS roster! LOL I'm serious though. I had a computer delivered by UPS one time that was dropped, kicked, spiked or whatever so hard it knocked the processer out of it. Packages sent by any shipping company are at risk for rugby practice.

I cannot imagine that he just threw all that stuff in there, loose, without any peanuts. I'm not calling you a liar, but are you sure the package wasn't opened or anything by the post office? I mean, I can understand putting too few peanuts in, but no peanuts? Bilal is not a retard...

and I am not saying he is, but the pictures you see were taken right after i opened the box. there were no peanuts. mistake, trial and error, who's to say?

on a positive note, Bilal called me tonight as soon as he saw the photos and is making everything right. shipping me a new stem, base, hose, and even said he would throw in a couple goodies to make it up. I don't really hold any blame to him, since by the broken piece on the stem it is obvious the carrier was extra rough with this one. he said he is going to overnight the replacements tomorrow, which is as much as I could ask for. far as it's concerned I will definitely be doing business with him again.

That is good to hear. Very good business it sounds. I bet that made you feel better. Yea, UPS can be rough sometimes

Wow, I've yelled at my dad after viewing a bunch of these USPS threads (rural carrier, last link in the delivery chain) and he says he's ashamed of some of the people they've got working too. STILL waiting on wigcrafting supplies for my cosplay from last August sad.gif

USPS, not UPS. My order was screwed up and was missing a couple things. He's is throwing in a couple things as well for the troubles. I would do buisness from him as well. Its kinds weird that both me and Camelflage's ordered were somehow messed up. Possible us VA "rednecks" messing with them packages.hahaha

Oh don't say that, you'll jinx my package - according to the tracking, it's still sitting in MD... hasn't crossed the VA border. Maybe the rednecks will stay away from mine - LOL (fat chance)

muhammad's picture looks like the same deal i had. i feel bad for Bilal having his products smashed up in shipping, but putting a glass vase in a cardboard box with just a layer of bubble wrap is taking a chance. im sure he will work to get you all patched up, though.

yeah.. im guessing that he had some help with packing all those orders and his assistant didnt use the foam peanuts.
why would an owner of a company pack orders poorly just to ship out replacement parts out of his own pocket? it makes no sense to me.

i wouldn't be. if anything he is going to be extra cautious now on the shipping materials. besides, ive had 4 other hookahs shipped to my house and all came intact, so i was beating the odds already.

PYH emailed me back saying he'll send me a new base for no charge, I told him I'll be happy to pay for shipping because I did get the hookah for a bargain and I'm sure he made a big loss sending it all the way to the UK.

I'll also definetly be using PYH in the future because the service is really good!
