are quicklites?

The Chinese ones which imitate these are, so I though maybe these would be too, but it doesn't say. I just want to make sure before I buy a box. Thanks.

These are NOT quicklites but they are "easy lites". They are easier to light than naturals but still takes a large heat source to get started such as a stove or torch. They are the best coals you can get tho.

They are NOT quick lights, they are easy lights. You'll need to hold them over a flame for a min each side and wait a bit before they get going. Also if HC says that they are made in Japan, there is no reason to doubt them. They are most comparable to the Easy lights that are displayed on the same page, those are the ones made in China. I have a box of them and they fall apart, and thus sucks. I use them because they work ok, but it takes time to get them started.

You can light real Japanese coals with a lighter, no problem. It might take 7 minutes or so, but they light pretty easily.

yep i got the real canarys, i prefer 3kings because they light up WAY FASTER. I woudn't class canary goldens as quicklites. Oh yh how many canary goldens do you use on ur hookahs? A whole bar?

uhhh... you know that each bar is actually 4 coals right? break them off and use them individually.
if youre using a normal bowl then use one at a time. if you're using a phunnel then people usually use three at a time in a triangular configuration.

i use 1 bar or 4 squares for my small phunnel. 3 bars i find is too little.

No problem, I use Akhla QL. I heard the 3Kings light the same way. A few seconds under the flame and poof the whole thing is glowing red.

I usually use 4 coals at the beginning of a bowl.
