The Apple Bowl

Im new to the forums so i thought i would post up some pictures of the apple bowl me and a friend made the other day.
It was a bit small and didnt hold much tobbaco but the smoke was decent and the flavor was great.








And here is a shot of a hookah one of the guys at the hookah bar i regularly go to made, it hit pretty good too

The apple bowl was definitely awesome, very creative! I think I might have to be a copycat and try that tonight.

And the Heineken bottle, definitely a thumbs up.

It only took about 5 minutes to make. You can notice more of an apple flavor, and it seemed like the flavor lasted a bit longer, im guessing its from the shisha juice soaking into the apple instead of dripping down a regular bowl.

The apple bowl is nothin new, people have posted them for a while... but i havn't seen one with a seperate sort of screen for the tabacco with the little holes like that... badass man, looks so neat i couldn't do it

Hey bob,

Very cool...You can also do that with Oranges, Lemons, Pineapple and Melons. For those who dont know or need some tips here are a few we have learned over the years:

1. Citrusy or Juicy fruit tend to explode when the juices inside heat up, so poke holes along the side of them to let the steam out.
2. If you dont want to get all fancy like bob with carving small holes in a slice of apple, you can just use toothpicks to catch the tobacco. Simply line them up in a checkerboard fashion.
3. Dont carve out the entire fruit, just take out enough to make a cone shaped interior. You dont need as much tobacco with a fruit bowl to get flavor and smoke.
4. Dont allow the coal to touch the fruit anywhere. It will burn and taste funky.
