Hobocans
So whats everyone's favorite brick and mortar hookah shop?I think this can have two answers: Where do you buy your everyday tobacco locally? And whats the coolest hookah shop you've been too?My everyday place is an Egyptian market up on Bergan Ave in Jersey City. Althought i was just at Blue Nile in the West Village, NYC and thought they had some nice hookahs and a good selection of Al Waha (The Egyo place is all Nahkla and Al Fakher). Also, Havanamax in Georgetown, DC had the biggest selection of MYAs ive seen, including some of the big boys. What are everyone else's shops of choice? SafeSearchOff
merh, the blue nile overcharges alot and is really more of a shop for selling drug pariphinelia. never been to the egyptian market on bergen ave, where exactly is it at? in terms of NYC shop i prefer "the village best" its a few blocks from the blue nile on 6th ave and like 8th or something i have no clue. its next to american aparrel and an old white church. they have a crapload of AW and a decent Mya selection. lazria
Sadly there are no "good" single item hookah stores locally - yeah, MYA is up north, but that's a 3 hour drive. In HR - some shops sell a few hookahs (chinese made, Social or Saraha) and most have lousy selections of shisha. The best "shisha" shop is a Smoke Shop by Lynnhaven Mall (Va Bch), next to Discount Audio. They sell chinese hookahs, some supplies, coals and carry Al Fakher. Other than that - various stores offer tid-bits but nothing to write home about.Sad and disappointing

Alyssadyane
I found a place in Anaheim - Discount Smoke Shop - that is full of beuatiful, and well priced hookahs. Lots of tobaccos. 2 doors down from it is an Arabic grocery store with an impressive tobacco selection as well. Double score! The people are really nice at the smoke shop. The are on Ball Rd, in between Brookhurst and Magnolia.

Alyssadyane
I forget all of the tobacco prices, but they carry Starbuzz, Layalina, Al Fakher, and a couple others I can't seem to remember. They had either Nahkla or Pharoah. I can't remember which. A 250g tub of Layalina is $8.99. The Starbuzz was $9.99 - $16 (I think). Most all 50g were $1.50 - $1.95. The choarcoal was great. They have natural coals from small bags to big - BBQ charcoal size bags. It is a small store, but it is packed full of stuff. The owners have a definate love for hookah. They even thrrew in some free tobacco at my last purchase. Well - I did buy 13 different flavours. I think they were very happy to see me. The grocery store next to it carries Al Amir, and some other brand. Quite an impressive selection for a grocery store. They are closed on Tuesdays. My first drive there, all I could do was wistfully look in the windows. They seriously have some beautiful hookahs. I bought my 36" chiller hookah, complete with everything and case there for $79.I really love that place.
