Idiotic Phunnel Bowl Questions

hey everyone, so I have never seen a phunnel bowl in real life before, and I am not understanding how this is supposed to work, you pack the tobacco around the hole in the middle, then put the coal on top of the hole? wouldnt that just block the airflow? or when you people say you have a mod for it, you just put a cap overtop the hole, then the coal on top of that, wouldnt that block the airflow too? im so confused....

you pack the bowl to the brim, put on alum foil, then coal. the inverted phunnel isnt as tall as the brim of the bowl, so it wont cut off airflow.

You pack the shisha around the hole, into the bowl... then the mod goes over the hole but doesnt cover it up all the way. It allows the airflow to get around the shisha better.. i have a phunnel but not the mod, and i just pack it up like a regular bowl but with less holes in the foil.

You also don't place a coal on the center, most people use between three and four halves of coals placed in a ring around the outside of the bowl, where the shisha is.

yea forgot about that, and that great thing about that is if its to much heat you can just take a half off or put another half on, very easy to adjust. to bad i waste coals trying to break them in half.. sometimes im just.. to strong and crumple the coals in my hand. quicklites..

You'll have that. It takes some getting used to before you can break them without a problem.

Does anyone know how much Shisha the Small and Medium Phunnels hold? It says different amounts on HookahCompany and MN.

I own some 33mm 3kings and there ones i have troubles breaking, when i go to my friends house he has some 44mm insta light things and there no problem. but eh im gonna switch over to natural once i move out and have the correct stove top

i got a medium from pimpyourhookah. it measures 72mm inner diameter of the bowl and the bowl is about 20mm deep.
when i use it with the glass mod, it holds roughly 25-30g of shisha.

Try scoring it with a sharp instrement first. I use an exacto knife. It makes it easier to break the QL w/o it turning to dust.
