Screen + Foil?

hey.. ive been using just 1 piece of foil for my hookah and its sort of harsh.. i was thinking of putting the metal screen over the bowl and put a piece of foil over the screen. good idea?

why not double foil? if its too harsh, you less coal.

if i were you i'd stick to just one piece of foil and just arrange the coals when needed. I guess sometimes the heavy duty foil actually makes a little difference versus the thinner foils.

Single foil, double foil, shouldn't matter much at all...adjust the charcoal or how you pack the bowl. Just a suggestion.

I've done the screen+foil thing, and while it is easier to poke holes and setup, it doesn't match the quality smoke of a patience and energy put into making tiny holes. The metal screen is a different metal than aluminum foil, and heats the shisha differently.

i always use double foil, both shiny sides out. i dont reall know why... i guess its cause i always use 2 33mm QL. this is with phunnel too. when i use combo bowl i use screen.

yeah, i usually just use the extra strength (thicker) common household foil (one layer) and poke like 50-75 holes in it in a circular shape with a toothpick. i use a medium funnel with 2 "three kings"...works perfect for all the brands that I have tried,.
