Ace of Hearts
So here's the deal, after being out of town (@ NC State watching my UCF Knights squeeze out a win ) this morning was the first time I was able to open my order. Everything was packaged and prepared great except for my conservation bowl which has a few flaws. It was the only product I didn't presearch the forum for a review and i consider it an impulse/ intoxicated buy and really just bought it so I can have another bowl on reserve when smoking. Anyways the bottom of the bowl has chips in it and there's a hairline crack from on hole to another on the top. Would any of that effect my session and is it really worth sending it back just to get another one in a week plus postage?P.S. I'm smoking with the cobra now and... clouds have never been thicker.. el nino has just arrived
mushrat
You were at NC state? Should have stopped by Chapel Hill for a smoke. Seriously though, If the bowl is defective, then they should send you a call tag for the broken one and send you a replacement. With use, the heating and cooling of the bowl will only make it worse til it breaks. Were there chips in the packaging or did they send you a chipped bowl to start with...? I'd be especially insistand about a replacement if there are no pieces in the packaging and someone there actually piced out a chipped and cracked bowl and sent it to you. But hey, thats me... joseph*
Some of my bowls have a small hairline crack in them, and they are perfectly fine, but it is hard to judge your case without a picture. Chips in a bowl seems to be the bigger issue. I don't think it is right for a company to ship you damaged merchandise, so I feel that it would be perfectly legitimate for you to ask for a replacement. It is up to you to judge if it would be worth the time to ask for that replacement.
KillZedKill
H-S will probably just send you another one for free if you ask, and you can keep the messed up one.

racemyghost
Get a replacement. Thats out of the question to pay for a defective bowl.
FURsAKeN
Complain smartly and politely.. Its your money dude, you should get everything perfect as expected. I'm sure they would have no problem replacing your vase.
Ace of Hearts
QUOTE (mushrat @ Sep 5 2007, 12:15 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>You were at NC state? Should have stopped by Chapel Hill for a smoke. Are you off of Hillsborough or maybe Western? We were driving home from a Playmakers experience( <~~ exactly what I looked like.. haha)and saw a hookah lounge and went on a rant on how bad I wanted to smoke.none of my buddies do and it was 2 a.m. Unfortunately we left the next morning. But loved the city, everyone was cool as hell until the game started, we started winning, and the Wolfpack fans tuned on us. As far as the bowl goes, I'm gunna give them a call and get it worked out. Its unacceptable from both technical and professional aspects. I spent the money on a functional product and, while accidents happen, it shouldn't be my sunk cost. Thanks for the input boys and girls.
