yup, they contain fiberglass in them. It will slowly shread your
mouth/throat/lungs sort of like asbestos. I know they taste better than
ciggs, but they are far more addictive and far worse for you in the
long run.

If at all possible, put the cloves down and put a hookah hose in your
hand instead. A much better habbit for your nicotine needs.

Um yash..i think that MIGHT be an urban myth.
Part of the problem with cloves is that people tend to inhale them deeper, hold them in longer, and smoke more of each cigarrett. There may also be something about smoking the cloves themselves, I'll do some more research.

Yup, you're right. I just googled them and read a bit about them. I
never smoked em and was just going off of what I have heard from my
friends...wonder where they got an idea like that...

But from what I just read, they contain some anastetic used in
dentristy which numbs the throat and gagging reflex, which may allow
the smoker to take longer deeper hits without it feeling as harsh.

Sorry to give out false information without checking first, and thanks for Mush for letting me know!

Nope, couldn't find anything having to do with the cloves themselves. Though I would point out that clove cigarettes are still mostly regular cigarette tobacco with a little bit of ground up cloves.

Correct yash, that anasthetic commonly used by dentists is called
eugenol, a naturally occurinng substance found only in cloves "Eugenia
caryophyllus" which is where the word comes from. This numbs the
throat, allowing you to inhale deeper and more freguently without pain,
also nobody really knows the health issues with inhaling eugenol, and
this is why they are worse than cigs.
