TheAlmightyClaw
It should be safe to smoke inside. I do it, and I live in a single with a smoke detector on the ceiling and it has never gone off.

racemyghost
i have a brand new detector with a brand new battery in it.mine does NOT go off.Smoking indoors is safe, you might get light headed if you are in a small room with no air-flow. Jubs
I don't have issues with my smoke detector going off I keep the living room ventilated but even if I didn't I don't think it would be an issue.

FURsAKeN
There is no risk for Carbon Monoxide poisioning, but be safe and make sure your room is well ventilated. I have yet to set off my smoke and carbon monoxide detector.. Anyone have a problem with smell of hookah smoke sticking, you know the way cig smoke sticks to furniture, apolstry, ect.? Johnny_D
Smoking inside is just fine. However prudence suggests that you dis-arm the fire-detector.I have, personally, myself. Done it and witnessed it. You can set a smoke detector off. Under the right circumstances. If you try REALLY hard.So if your in a position where the campus cops are going to bust you upside your head then disarm the fire-detector.However, remember to plug it back in when done. Your life might just depend on it.JD

Ocrap
Lighting the coals is what would probably set the fire alarm off if anything, i think
