i have gone to hookah bars for quite some time, and just bought a three hose hookah, and want to smoke it inside. i have two questions will hookah smoke set-off my smoke detectors and is it safe to smoke inside, or too much bad carbon monocide? thanks

It should be safe to smoke inside. I do it, and I live in a single with a smoke detector on the ceiling and it has never gone off.

i have a brand new detector with a brand new battery in it.

mine does NOT go off.

Smoking indoors is safe, you might get light headed if you are in a small room with no air-flow.

I don't have issues with my smoke detector going off I keep the living room ventilated but even if I didn't I don't think it would be an issue.

Mine was about 20 feet away and it would go off if i didnt open the window for a bit or if i left one open it never went off and i have small windows in my basement so i mean it can but it probably wont if you air it out a bit then again i have a 3 hose with 3 nammors and 3 shishaholics smoking huge hits each hit lol

There is no risk for Carbon Monoxide poisioning, but be safe and make sure your room is well ventilated. I have yet to set off my smoke and carbon monoxide detector..
Anyone have a problem with smell of hookah smoke sticking, you know the way cig smoke sticks to furniture, apolstry, ect.?

Hookah smell sticks around for a few hours, depending on size of room and everything, just leave windows open. I've never noticed it having long term effects like on aposlstry

I somke indoors all the time and I have never got my smoke detector to go off by shisha smoke.. And yes it is safe to somke inside, you said yourself that you go to shisha bars doesn't you smoke inside there?

Smoking inside is just fine.

However prudence suggests that you dis-arm the fire-detector.

I have, personally, myself. Done it and witnessed it. You can set a smoke detector off. Under the right circumstances. If you try REALLY hard.

So if your in a position where the campus cops are going to bust you upside your head then disarm the fire-detector.

However, remember to plug it back in when done. Your life might just depend on it.
