htayel1
Mya Acrylic Mya QT // Money isn't too much of an issue so don't let it factor in your opinion too much. I looked at the reviews and am still undecided I absolutely LOVE how the QT looks (I know that may sound a bit superficial) but it does seem that the acrylic has a bit better performance. So which would you guys choose? All the help is much appreciated and will be taken into consideration. Thanks in advance for the help.
oggie505#2
depends on how you are going to use them. If its a communal hookah for party's and stuff, gotta go with acrylic since they are not easily broken, but for a single smoker especially in a dorm room, the QT is da bomb. I have loved my QT for when I was doing my senior project, just set it on my desk and smoke while typing my code. The only thing I am not sure if mya has changed the glass they use for the qt's I have heard the new glass is weak, but not sure if its only their bigger ones and not the QT
The King
They both are highly respected.... Go with the QT if you like it more.
ASUSEAN1
acrylic if you want it to last..
waterboi
like others have said, acrylic if you want it to last longer and esp if you will smoking with friends and at parties. base is less likely to break but the QT is a nice piece too
ZenSilk
Basically, they both smoke the same, it's just your surroundings. I recently purchased an acrylic and this thing is a tank. The shaft is a ton better than i expected. And the acrylic base is especially nice and sturdy. But if you are going to be with only one or two people and no parties, the QT is better for portability. But again, they smoke the same.
ASUSEAN1
the smoke in the acrylic is probably cooler because of the longer stem, the qt base isn't the strongest, the stems are both good quality.. its basically comes down to if you want to risk breaking or having an acrylic that won;t break even if you drop it (don't try to drop it though)

New2Hookah
I say neither. Get yourself a fine quality Egyptian for the price. Those are pathetic...
FURsAKeN
The acrylic is a beast, and good for party scenes, also if your a kluts. QT like everyone says, is good for if you just looking for something portable and doesn't take up the space. I'd go with the acrylic, it will be around for sometime. Those are pathetic... Like I always say, KM FTW!Because of my personal klutziness, if I were forced to get a cheaper model Mya (which aren't all that cheap cost-wise >.<) I'd get the acrylic... but it probably would shatter with me because I don't dump out my water after my sessions and that would cause the acrylic base to get tiny fractures all over it for an unknown reason. I wait until I'm going to smoke again to do that as well as give it the ol' vinegar treatment, so I'd be in trouble.Does acrylic keep flavors/smells like normal plastics? indy
Having smoked out of both this last weekend, I'd say go with the acrylic. I disagree with the notion that they both smoke the same. While the qt does offer a decent smoking session, the larger hookah is going to offer a better one. BUT if size does matter, then the qt is the way to go. Both decent choices if you ask me. I will say this though, I think the qt's stem seems to be a bit sturdeir but I haven't really put the two stems side by side and examined. Its probably just the fact that its smaller that makes it seem like its a hardier stem.
Allia22
The QT's stem is in fact sturdier than the acrylic's, but the acrylic's stem should stand up to normal usage, not like playing swords with it or something.
camelflage
yeah, the QT is a little more solid. the acrylic is a really safe portable hookah but as such it gets more abuse, and ive seen acrylic stems showing the wear.
ASUSEAN1
i think the stems are pretty equal..dhuwan's uses acrylics and have never had 1 problem with a stem.. they have used the some hookahs for 2 years now and only about 3 bases have broke.. and those get abused pretty bad at a hookah bar that packs evvery night.
