Absinthe
I just got my Hookah today from Hookah-Shisha, and upon hearing ( I wasn't there for the actuall delivery) that the UPS guy actually threw my hookah off of the truck, I knew that I was going to have an unpleasent day. Guys, I am not even lying to you, when I opened it, I found that my base had been reduced to DUST. Nearly the entire bottom was missing, reduced to small shards. The actual package had been packed very well, with 2 boxes complete with the white foam thingies, and then additional packing within the carrying case. Alas, none of this could prevent the harsh treatment my dear hookah had to endure it seems, so now I am left unhappy, and hookahless. The good news: Hookah-Shisha was ever so kind and helpful, and are sending me a new base that should be here before the week is through. And thus a terrible thing has turned out to be just fine. yashman19
Who told you they threw it off the truck? If you know, call up UPS and say you have a whitness to package abuse. Thats bullsh*t. I don't know what I woulda said to the guy if I were to actually see this happen to my package... Sorry to hear for your loss, but happy for your gain Post some pics of the new hookah when you get everything in. We all like pictures of peoples new pieces. cypress
Did your box say fragile on it. I am actually surprised from hookah shisha's part if it didnt. That is where I bought mine from and typically a good shipper will have one of those boxed with any glass or breakables in it.
Sean
Yeah well I know a guy who works for UPS and he has told me you are often better NOT to mark your stuff Fragile when sending it. That way it attracts less attention. His buddies have been known to target items when they are having particularly bad days. But you didnt hear it from me. MR Bubble
Yeah, and if it actually says "Hookah-Shisha" on it, the guy was probably a lousy redneck S.O.B who doesn't "like that stuff." Guess he's trying to save the world with his good ol' boy mentality. Needs a good bust right in the c#ck sucker! I'll be good and docile now. Absinthe
Suprisingly, Cypress, the box didn't say Fragile on it. And my brother had been the one to tell me that it had been tossed from the back of the truck. I will have pictures eventually, and I did take a few of the broken hookah; however they are fuzzy due to the phone I was taking them with. Although I am happy to have everything in order, I will not be here to recieve the new base because I will be in Wisconsin. But what's a few more days right? ::sigh:: Eh, I figured I would put one picture in, why not. This is the base. I can't remember how I was holding it, but it's in the bubble wrap because I didn't want to get cut or remove it too much from it original spot. As you can see much of the bottom is missing. How tragic, it never even saw one use.

cypress
Yea I am sorry your hookah went through so much torchure. The good side they are replacing it. If Hookah Shisha really wanted to they could let you file a claim with UPS which takes for ever to get money back. A good business will do business like that though.
