MrMoodz
I bought a Pumpkin Hookah locally for $13.00 last year. I don't like how short the down stem was, so I took it to Home Depot into the vinyl tubing (?) section and bought some for cheap. So I added some length to the downstem so water doesn't get sucked up into the hose. I am using the same tubing on the stem for my Mya QT.
rsa5387
Update:So I bought a maya qt and tried it out last night with some nakhla coffee shisha that came with the package. Problem is that the hookah smokes great but I dont taste much shisha...just plain air. After 10 minutes I took the foil off and some of the shisha was burnt...I need some help with heat management. How do you guys place the coals on your qt's?
anathema
heat management depends on the bowl size, the amount of shisha, the kind of shisha, and the kind of coals. What you should do to find the balance point of most smoke and no burnt tobacco is put halves of coals on the edge of the bowl, as far as you can without the coals falling off. Then give it several good hits over 3-5 min and if it's not smoking well just move the coals toward the center.Repeat if necessary.Or if you have a really small bowl, what I find helps is one of those wind covers, it keeps some of the heat in and allows me to use less coals and get the same amount of smoke without burning it.
