New Hookah

So for a year I've had a four hose and its a good hookah, but i figured i could do better. so i've been looking at the Red Pineapple hookah from myasaray or the Blue Genie hookah also from mya but a different website. There is a price difference and you can make the pineapple into a 4 hose. But I want to know which one would smoke better.

My ascetically biased, totally non-expert opinion would be, get the genie, she's so much sexier!

So i got another question is there a big difference between the myas and the kms? am i better off not buying one of those?

Mya basers have been getting alot of crap, but i'm sure if you buy a larger-based Mya, or an acrylic, it will be fine. And KM's are always the bomb, it just depends on if you want an egyptian or not.

I agree, get a KM or a Syrian over any MYA. Between a KM or a Syrian, definately a Syrina.

As for this KM Mya Syrian debate that is brought up alot, I'd have to disagree wtih the idea that you go with a KM over MYA anyday. It completely depends on what the hookah's going to be fore and what your tastes are.

Are you going to bring/smoke it at parties?
Do you care about the looks, i.e. need/want to impress anybody?

KM's are going to be harder to clean than the Mya's because the Mya stems come apart into three pieces for easy cleaning. I'd also say that the Mya has a better seal than the KM because their parts are all threaded AND have the rubber grommets while KM only has rubber grommets. Sure I'd trust a KM glass base over a Mya glass base anyday, but to simply throw out Mya as crap is completley unfair.

Yeah dude, Syrians are built like goddam tanks. ANd they look the best in my opinion. KM's dont have brass stems anymore, which is why i liked them.

But Mya's are definetely great pieces. Once again, its based on what your style preference is.

anyways.. the red pineapple is a good hookah!! one of the few mya hookahs that are actually worth getting. in my experience, it probably smokes better than ever other mya hookah.. it would be a good buy. plus the base is made of thick glass, stem is solid

true. but this thing hits so damn good with one hose that i wouldn't even bother putting more.. people will be amazed by the clouds you can pull from this thing

hmm... i thought it was a MYA... my friend's father has the genie and it has all of the MYA imprints on the shaft and ash tray. Looks pretty legit to me, thought it does not have the screw on base. Different shaft orniments on his also. If it is the same it smokes wonderfully. Though i will warn you the base is a little thin at certain points on the genie. just dont drop it.

That blue SYRIAN, isn\'t a mya, it\'s a Syrian. I\'d go with that. Syrians have far outlasted any mya on the market. Also, I can attest to that seller. He sent me referral after referral from this forum as well as the other. But then again, it is your opinion that counts/matters. But the way I see it, Syrians are build like tanks, dont break, last forever, dont rust, dont leak, draw so much better, etc. There isn\'t a reason not to lol. However, the mya IS nice...i must admit

Definently don't get the Blue Genie. My friend got that from HC and I also bought an exactly similar item with a different base and they don't smoke too well. The base, despite what it looks like is also weak and both of ours broke.

If I was you, I'd get the Al Fakher 36" Hookah. Not only are they one of the most beautiful Hookahs but they smoke just as good as they look. If you want a smaller one, there's a 26" or 28" inch as well.

well, I think its a safe bet to take mya out of the picture. However, dont forget that Syrian. It looks much nicer than the AF IMHO; they are both nicer than the mya though. Here is a review I found from a member here:

I think ultimately, the Syrian wins. Its built stronger, its disassembles for easy cleaning. Disassembling means you can smoke it at different heights as well. It has a much nicer shaft, a much nicer vase, but above all, the quality of smoke with be much better. The syrian has 4 holes in the heart/shank. This provides for a much more free flowing rig that will have the most unrestricted draw possible. The smoke will be cooler, more flavorful, etc. On top of this, the syrian will last longer and has a much nicer design. maybe my perception of hookahs is different, who knows, its all on you now...i think this forum has helped you as much as it can, to where now, its all on preference..

Thanks for all the input and I've talked to my friend Hannibal about Al Fakher and i've decided to get the mya instead. I'll be spending a lil bit more but i think its the best one out of the three.
