Deciding On A New Hookah (2 Hose)

Recommended Posts

Well, I've been tossing it around for a while about getting a new hookah. I use a brass egyptian that I love to do death..
But I broke the weld on the stem on saturday, but fixed it.. And then I broke the base on tuesday...

Well, with myself and friends we are usually smoking at least 2 people, up to like 6..

So I am thinking of limiting myself to a two hose.. Just I cant find one I like too much.
I wont go below 29" or so.
And I really want the KM Tri-Metal, but it's only a 1 hose and I am unsure of stem adaptors.

So I have found one I like, the Mya Paragon (2 Hose) off of H-S.

154.95 for it which seems outrageous... Considering my egyptian is 35$ and is one of the best smokes I've been on.

Yet looking on the forum, someone mentioned that South Smoke carries the same one for cheaper..
But S-M calls it the Mya Frost, and it's a 1 hose with a different base.

Are these the same? And why are they different names?

H-S advertises that the 2 hose has "grooves" in it to add more stem adaptors for up to 4 hoses (Which isnt something I would do...), but what do they mean by these grooves?

Ordering hookah's online is just weird... But my source for hookahs, doesnt carry two hosers.

tht is one of the good mya hookahs, strong base; good solid stem..

if you are not looking to spend tht much money there are plenty og 2 hose hookahs that are a lot cheaper

So you are confirming though that they are both the same?

No, different bases.. different stems, and you would have to buy the adaptor and another hose to make it a 2-hoser..

i was talking about the one from hookahshisha when i said it as a good hookah..

the second one is good too though

ANd i think by grooves they mean the things that Mya has on some of their shafts, like mine. It has a round bell shape at the bottom right above the mouth of the vase, and if you buy the adpaters you can just screw them into the shaft quite easily. But yeah, those Myas are really expensive on H-S. blink.gif Edited by ZenSilk

Myas, if you buy a good durable one, are awesome multi hose hookahs. I bought a single hose Acrylic and a stem adapter. Converting to two hose is as easy as unscrewing one port and screwing in the adapter and putting another hose in. Autoseal is a matter of convenience/what you're used to.
