DOnt you agree when i say though that the preparation time and skill you must do it with to have a good smoke is key ! 250 bucks for something that starts your shisha and cleans ur pipes.. then heats ur coal... why ?!

gets shit going quicker if you own a bar

my Pharoah fills up so fast, i really don't have a need for that, i have no problem power-tokin for a few seconds to get it started

Usually instead of power hitting for about a minute (i have small lungs) i leave the coal on for a minute while fully red and a bit ashed. It gives me some time to gather or put away extra things like coals, extra hoses, shisha, etc.

If you don't I might. cool.gif

Do keep in mind you will eventually gunk it up with residue. My vacs are all full of crap..good thing they are cheap.

Hey Mushrat...nice little diy vac! what do you have between the hose and vac itself? I'm thinking about building one myself now.. biggrin.gif

Sorry for digging up a fossil of a thread, but I figured there's no sense in making a new one that will bring up the same stuff anyways tongue.gif

Last I heard they were planning on shipping it in January 2008, then there were some sort of fire-related problems that they had which pushed it back... Now they have a new website and all, so I was hoping they'd be closer to a finished product.

I've e-mailed them for info, but have yet to hear back. Has anyone heard anything about this product recently?

If someone needs something to heat their coals, just get a portable stove burner. They cost $20 for the cheapest, and you can stick a pot or something on it and throw all your coals in it.

As for the rest of that thing.. it's a vaccuum with an air filter. Not worth $250.

Edit: Shit, I didn't notice how old this thread was. Edited by JDHarding

Yeah, like I said it's a fossil... smile.gif The nice thing about this is it's basically a stove burner combined with an oven, similar idea to using a foil dome over the stove... It lights coals way faster than a coil burner. On top of that, the suck/blow ports on it make cleaning and drying both stems and hoses a lot easier. Plus this looks way nicer sitting on your kitchen counter than a dirty old school coil burner...

But obviously the price point is high, and it's not for everyone. I definitely want one for myself smile.gif

ES: It's all on the site. Read through it smile.gif

I just got this response to my inquiry, if anyone else cares for it... although I find it odd that a Chicago-based company puts out a 240 VAC model before a 120 tongue.gif Any of you electrical-minded types out there know how easy/practical it is to get some sort of transformer that would allow a 240VAC system to work from a North American socket?

Hi Mr. Faltous,

We apologize for the time it is taking. We have only released machines rated for 240VAC.

It is likely to take 6 months for the 120 VAC model to be safety certified and released to the public.

Thank you for your patience and be assured we will ship your unit when available.
