MechAnt
I think that there might be a loss of flavor if kept at near fridge temperatures. Smiley's is supposedly better when stored in a fridge but most shisha looses some flavor when going into extreme temps like that. Whether it be heat or cold, its not good for the shisha and it generally should always be stored at a moderate, consistent temp.
Akkbar
keep it in the house. I know for pipe tobacco i was told to keep it at room temp, out of the light. I assume its the same for shisha tobacco.anyways, if you keep it in your garage, i might be tempted to break in and steal it.
hookahlife
Hey Brownman,I wouldn't recommend storing your shisha or your hookah in the garage. With regards to the hookah; if the temperature starts to fluctuate especially in a cold climate, the base becomes prone to cracking & shattering. I had a friend who kept his Egyptian hookah in the garage and one day when he went to get it, the bases bottom just shattered from the cold and temperature fluctuation. Also for most shisha (aside from Smileys which can handle the cold) you should never store in a freezer, fridge, cold garage, or outdoors in cold weather. Cold weather causes the juice in the shisha to dry out, causing the shisha to not only taste stale, but also keeps it from smoking longer. Hope this helps! -EugeneHookah Life
staygone
I've smoked in the garage during -20 degree MN nights and the best results were from keeping the shisha in the house. When you are ready to bring it outside, make sure the bowl is well heated from the coals. I also use a windcover to keep the bowl protected from the bitter cold. One good thing about smoking outside in the winter is to put the vase in a 5 gallon bucket that is filled with snow. keeps the smoke extra cooool.-QM
hookah hippie
Shisha like most tobacco shouldn't be left somewhere cold.
Allia22
Mmm, cold shisha ^__^ I'd bring my hookah and 'baccy with me to school and smoke it in my car during the two hour breaks I had and it worked out well, but I'd bring my stuff in with me and smoke again once I got home... Brownman18
ok sorry to bring this up again, but Assuming i cannot keep my hookah in the house as my mom will destroy it, it is effectively banned until this house is sold and we move out of it into the next one. Right now i keep it in the garage and well is it likely the hookah it self can be damaged?I can keep the tobacco inside in a box or something but if that hookah should come into contact with the interior of the house for longer then say a cleaning session, she wont survive. And sadly i cannot protect her lol.. so well the hookah be that bad off? Anyone ever tried this.My only other option is to take them apart and put them away in storage somewere (friends house :'()
Allia22
Make absolutely sure it's completely free of water. Even then I'm not sure it's safe... sorry, but your best bet is keeping it at your friend's house.
ZenSilk
Maybe you can wrap it in fuzzy warm scarves and mittens! I did that with my hookah last winter.

I did that with my hookah last winter.uhhhh fuzzy warm scarves and mittens wont keep a hookah warm since the hookah has no source of heat (like a human body). the hookah will eventually become the temperature of its environment.try this. keep a thermometer inside your house until it becomes room temperature. wrap it in your fuzzy warm scarves and mittens then put it outside and check the next day what the thermometer reading says. Johnny_D
I can't see vases or hookah's breaking because of the temperatures.Your not going +40 to -40 in an hour surely ?Dry the hell out of it. Pack it in a box. Wrap it in scarves or other items to keep frost from it. It will be ok.The tobacco - put it all in a shoe box and keep it in your wardrobe.JD
