KillZedKill
Basicly I sold a majority of my hookah stuff to a good friend of mine because I needed money so I can spoil my girlfriend. Moneys been short for a while, because if basicly been layed off, but my hours were awful anyway so I'm looking for apps in town this week after my class. I sold the following:1 Syrian Glyph from H-S.2 Syrian hose.3 Cleaning brushes.4 Base protector.5 Hookah case.6 Replacement Syrian base.7 Replacement Syrian base grommet. Now all I have is a QT, nammor and a funnel bowl with mod. Which is fine because nowadays my smoking company is usually one other person or my self. Oh, and I forgot to mention that hour anniversary, her birthday, and christmas are all in a one and a half week period.

FURsAKeN
I'm not cheap, but I can't see myself spending that much money on a woman constantly. I spoil my wife when I can, other then that its just old fashion love; give her rub downs, surpirse her with flowers, cook lunch for her and bring it to her work on my off days, stuff like that..Thank god, she's a hookah chick.. Also good luck on your jobs man, I hope you get something that you can enjoy and pays good.

ahwahoo2006
Exactly. Love isnt about spending money on someone, and if they expect that of you then they dont love you.

CAn you say "high maintainence"?are you stupid? Yeah lets PUNISH the love of your life by not getting her anything for her birthday and christmas or their anniversary.... Because She decided to be born near christmas and it's her "fault" they became a couple. and christ *if you believe* should not have been born on THAT day lol......Oh yeah.. and Yeah.. lets lump it all into one gift too, since you know... people probably haven't been doing that to her ALL of her life. You sir, are an asshat. That's not being high maintanance... that means you give a damn about the person and want them to be happy, and if she would like a certian item, or dinner for each occasion.... she's just being a human.. I hope all three things are spread out for you ( if you ever get a woman) and hopefully she won't get you jack shiit and say YOU'RE high maintance, because I'm sure you want stuff for all present giving occasions.......Think about it this way. Once you get to this point, your free flying for the next 11 months with nothing to forget or buy for lucky! My birthday is 10 days before christmas. Yeah. It sucks. Especially when people LUMP gifts..So lame. It's not like both days aren't important to EVERYONE else. ps... nm Edited September 17, 2007 by kornkitten42

See if she changes.. Your love needs to be your best friend then just a lover. I dunno, why we are giving advice.. lol.. I think it was the whole spending and giving things up for money; you have been with her for two years, but I guess it can go both ways.. Well, good luck with her dude. Wish you the best. staygone
Where does it say that she's requiring him to buy stuff for her? Three significant dates (Birthday, Christmas, and an Anniversary) are coming up and you guys think he needs to ditch his supposedly "high maintenance" GF just becuase he wants to get something special for her? BUT if money is too short, serenade her with a song or something. Goo Goo Dolls seem to do the trick for me.At least he still has his QT right? it isn't like he's ditching hookah in general to spoil her,QM Edited September 17, 2007 by QuiltedMaple
MechAnt
NO!!! NOT THE GLYPH!! I suppose since its all in the name of love its ok.......Still, it's a Glyph! I'm working up to get one soon

There's plenty of gifts you can get someone without spending a dime. I just finished 4 years of being a poor college student with a girlfriend, so I know a little something about it. /and I am certainly not an asshat. kornkitten42
You replied with that tid bit RIGHT before i wrote that. As you can see by my post i was typing when you posted your follow up. By the sound of it, you made her seem like a high maintance girl for possibly wanting something special to be done for her on those days. because you outright said that you'd ditch her. I'm sorry but I expect a card, a kiss, and lots of love on those days. Anything else is a bonus. You can find coins in a couch to buy a card if you're that poor. * edited to say , that i don't think anyone is poor....... but saying if one was that poor....* Edited September 17, 2007 by kornkitten42
kornkitten42
Also, if one KNOWS those dates are coming.. one could save throughout the year to get one their special gifts... That's what we do. We (as in me and my other half) don't expect things, but there are certian things that we would like to recieve as a gift. KillZedKill
Well heres a thing I should have gone over, I do all of those things, I love to cook for her, and shes a vegan, so its quite interesting I also drop by her school and bring her things, and give great massages after a nice hookah smoke. Genuine love is a huge part of our relationship, I'm simply adding to it now by buying stuff for her, because for the past two years I haven't really been able to. I don't want anyone to think that shes a gold digger, money has never been important to me, so if I can make someone else happy with it then why not. KillZedKill
Also, I told her today that I sold it, and we agreed that after I get my job we'll go down to a place together and she can pick one out to replace it.
