MonkeyBiz
So I bought a hookah from Hookah-Shisha a couple months ago, and the hoses have developed the bad habit of accumulating black particles inbetween smokes. I have to blow them out before I can use them, and even then I don't get everything. Anyway, I either need some way of getting rid of all that crap or I need to get new hoses. I'm more inclined to go with the latter, so I'm wondering what people's favorite hookah hoses are?
cypress
I too had the exact same problem. I bought a mya and it workes better than a charm. I dont get any buildup and all and have never cleaned it in over 6 months. mya's are the best hose and if you really needed to they are washable. MonkeyBiz
Any of the mya's inparticular?
cypress
There are only 2 basic styles that are 7 bucks from their site. One that has a metal tip and one that doesnt. I personally liked the wood tiped one. Its alot easier on your mouth and teeth if you do not uses the disposable plastics. There are 2 other fancier ones but they run about 15-18 bucks. mushrat
I add my voice to the chorus... Fortunate for me I can get them locally for about $10.
MR Bubble
If you just go to hookahook.com they have the exact same ones. I wash mine periodically and has lasted about a year+. He is in Lebanon, and the shipping with DHL will be a little more, but when you order several of them at once for $5.00 each, you will make up for it. MonkeyBiz
I tried to order the Mya Saray ones last night, but it kept rejecting my Amex card. Not like declined, but said I'm not authorized or some stuff like that. I'll try again later.
Ghaleon
when my first hose checked out, I went to Lowes and fashioned another one with some plastic tubing. I just cut of both of the ends and super-glued them to the tube. it's been working like a charm for 2 years now. Not the prettiest thing in the world, however. I'll have to buy a mya; thanks for the tip.
Mathazar
MonkeyBiz.........Go to HookahHookah.com and order their Synthetic Leather Hoses. They're made by MYA, and they are EXCELLENT. And best of all.....they're washable
John Deere
I would suggest ordering mya's directly from myasaray.com, they are only $7 there as opposed to $10 at hookahhookah.com for the same hose, plus the people at mya saray are really nice, and helpful too! Soup
Just a general (newbie) hose question... Are all leather hoses washable or just a certain kind?
John Deere
Well pretty much the only washable hose I personally know of that is of any quality, is a mya.
cypress
Real leather hoses will not stand up to a wash. They will start to taste nasty and the spring iside of them rust. Mya's are made out of pleather and have i believe a stainless steel spring inside.
MonkeyBiz
Well, I would order them from Mya, but they're not taking my Amex card. So, if HookahHookah has comparable ones, I'll order them from them.
John Deere
oh yeah......I guess I missed that part....sorry. Try calling them and ordering it over the phone?
Mathazar
The MYA Synthetic Leather hoses from HookahHookah are the best I've ever seen or used. They're FANTASTIC!!! Though, as a general rule, I tend to wash my hoses at least once or twice a month just to keep them clean.
