My Nammor; And Rusty Downstem?

Hey guys, So I got my order from H-S yesterday (3 AF tubs and a Nammor) and I used the hose last night at my buddys and it was pretty shitty. The problem was that his bowl didn't fit well on my stem, and I wanted to use my rig but his smaller bowl. The hose was plasticy but I know that passes. So I sucked it up, had a mediocre session, and decided to do it right today.

So I had it all set up like I usually do. AF grape in my phunnel, heat was right and managed well, and I could still taste a bit of plastic that I know will go away in a bit or once I wash it right. So I'm getting the ol' girl going, and at the point where I'm usually exhaling stormclouds, I'm still just getting little puffs. Nothing horribly small, just not what I'd expected from everything I've heard about the Nammors (I've acutally had bigger with my tubing modded cobra).

So then I get a little burn taste, I rotate the coal, take of the windcover, and I go to blow out the old smoke in the chamber. I was blowing pretty hard, and I saw the water level go down almost below the nut of the end of the downstem. The smoke is all gone and I stop blowing. The water level comes up and I see this red stuff coming out of the bottom of the downstem. I started thinking, what in the world could that be? We had AF orange last night in my buddy's noraml egyptian bowl, so I thought it could have been some molassas in the stem, but I had run water thru it that night and today before the session. So I start to think it's rust.

I must have been blowing pretty hard b/c there was a little in the ashtray, which looked like it came off the very top of the stem, because the paper towel around it (instead of a grommet because it doesn't fit) had some of the red coloring too.

So, first question: What am I doing wrong with my Nammor? Every thing was really tight (pulled the bowl off, covered the stem, and it was all airtight)
and second question: Could the red coming out of my downstem have been rust?

hate to break it to you... sounds like rust to me. what kind of hookah is it?
nammors i cant help you with. i hold strong with my KM Hose.

how long have you had it? run some water through again and seei fm ore comes out. if its a fairly recent purchase i'd contact h-s

i got in in april, so its about 5 months old...

the thing is, i ran water thru it after last night's session and before todays and nothing came out. the water was clear...

try baking soda or hydrogen peroxide and shake it up. brush it outi f you have one. see what happens. could be leftover molasses...? what kindo f bowl?

last night it was a regular egyptian bowl, so molasses could have gone down but wouldn't the water have gotten it? i used a phunnel today, so if it was molasses, hopefully it's all gone. i'm gonna scrub 'er out when i get home

if shisha got into the stem and you didn't do a real good rinse that could be the problem.

Shouldn't rust on you man. Those are made not to rust...I'd say its nothing to worry about, unless you let it sit in the hookah like in the water after sessions, thats how much rust would start up.

take your hose out and just breathe through it, it there is little resistance, then you know it is not the hose.

The red from the stem could be juice from the AF, you said u had a bit of water in your tray from blowing, we damn how hard are you blowing, if water came from you blowing/purging, then I bet u got water in your bowl, sometimes i get juice coming down my phunnel, especially if i use a drippy shisha. I think you should check your hookah stem to see if there is a drop of metal that i snow hardened in the stem, that could account for the hard draw, and also water coming into your ash tray, it is making a venturi effect when u r trying to purge
