It's like... yuppie-speak, something you'd find at Starbucks about how marvelous the stock market is doing, or the tone of a fashionista making a comment about your shoes o_O Then again, we've got the yooper accent running rampant around here. It doesn't bother me as much as it used to because I've realized it's just derived from the German accent from the Wisconsin days of yore... but it still bugs me >.<

SafeSearchOff
I'd consider vocabulary part of accent. For example i say dude, yo, fucking a', mad is an adjective for a lot, I go "down the shore" not to the beach, etc. And always a fuckinlot. OBY
This is a sweet thread.... I never considered Vocab as an accent...If I think real hard then I could prob come up with some sort of an accent.
Hookah_Bob3
Well, no. I've never typed with an accent. My brother and I purposefully mutilate language when we speak to each other, but other than that, I type normally

Besides, with so many people leaving NY to move to NJ, you actually do start to hear it pronounced that way. Freakin' New Yorkers...

quakerotis
Someone please save me from South Carolina and the terrible accents and lack of vocabulary (and teeth, for that matter) If I hear another "Ain't ya'll" or "Get 'r' done" I'm going to strangle someone with their confederate flag. /rage
rockchick04
I use "hella" sometimes, which I guess is a NorCal term to some? At least I've been made fun of by So Cal people, but other than that, not really.
