Finally Got My Hookah

well my hookah just came in. its a single hose glyph from h-s. first off the bowl it came with was a joke. the grommet it came with doesn't really fit. no matter how hard I push it keeps working itsself up. horrable fit. it doesn't really hit well. the stem that screws togther 2 of the fittings are leaking. and yes they are tight

I don't believe so. the hose is fitting fine. and plus I don't see how I could mix those up

well I got the stem to seal up a bit better. now it only leaks at one joint. I unscrewed the hose connector coming off the stem and now it bearly goes in. it only goes in like 3 threads when it came all the way in. also the stem doesn't even look the same as it does in the pic from the site.. I am really really unhappy with my purchase. for 100 bucks I expect better quality....

Hey Clash,

Because most Egyptian hookahs are hand made, they'll have a lot of those imperfections that you’re talking about (i.e. poor wields that cause air leaks, poor stem fittings, grommets sliding out, etc). Of course this doesn't happen to all Egyptian hookahs, and I don’t think you should be stuck with one that does. My suggestion would be to call H-S and let them know what’s going on. If you already smoked out of the hookah, you might be out of luck in getting a 100% refund or full exchange, but it's worth a try.

The bowl I got with my glyph was amazing, it was small, but really nice. Mine was a small brown ceramic bowl, very shiny and very nice. Try switching to Egyptian grommets, simply because they grip and shape better on that hookah. I Got a glyrp that was one solid piece, no leaking problems what so ever, if they cant replace yours with another one that breaks down, I recommend asking for a solid core one. My glyph was a perfect hookah.

Yeah, they sent me a whole set of different sized grommets i could try out for my acrylic mya, as the hoses werent fitting too well either. And about the stem.. all H-S syrians have machine made parts in them, probably the stem to lessen the rate of imperfections. Just talk to them on live help, they will sort you through it. I got my hose grommets shipped first calss priority usps in 2 days.

i heard the glyph is one of their best hitting hookahs..

1. the base grommet usually needs to be worked in
2. the whole drag thing is probably do to the pack job

well a quick update.. I got a call from them today. talked to scott. seemed like a nice guy. I told him my prolbems with the stem leaking and he said he was going to send me a new stem and he said he was gunna make sure its air tight. very cool. I also brought up the bowl being a shitty fit and he said he was going to send some extra grommets. so far I'm happy with their customer service. ill let you guys know how everything turns out when I get the new stuff in.

talked to a guy on their online livehelp for like 15 mins about dumb shit, he had answered the question right off the bat (was about paypal) and then just shot the shit, nice guy!
