Shisha Price To Quality Scale

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I thought this would be a good idea for newbies who want to have a good session of hookah but now blow $20 a jar for shisha. For this thread, I want some input on what your opinions of what the best price to quality shisha brand is, as well as a medium and low. $20 for 250g I think is high, $12-15 would be medium and anything lower would be low.

An example would be like:
250g
Starbuzz: Best if you want $20 shisha , best for the price
Al-Fakher: Best for medium $15
etc.

i can get nakhla or afzal for $5, and al waha for $8-$10.

as for starbuzz, it may be best on flavor, but there is no buzz. i don't know about anyone else, but i dont just smoke for flavor...

Romman is a pretty good shisha too and I think underated sometimes. Kinda on the higher side though. around $20 for 250 g.

Flavor wise and price wise Tangiers is at the top of my list. I still love my Starbuzz as well and don't mind paying the price - but won't pretend it's not expensive compared to other brands.

My top choice in all instances would be StarBuzz, it really gives you the overall great feel for smoking hookah. The thick thiiick clouds of smoke, great flavor, and at times a nice buzz, or lightheadedness. But at $20 for a can with 250g, its a good treat to have for new comers to your hookah, or just for special occations or events. Kind of like a *nice* wine of the shisha world.
king moassel, is a nice brand of shisha, at $10 for a nice big 250g tub. Its a smooth flavorful smoke (or at least the double apple is) and its pretty inexpensive for the amount you get.
Al Waha, is the standard edition shisha, pretty much, theres tons of flavors, and its cheap, at around $3-$4 for a box of 50g (yes/no? am i right?) some of them are really good, while others of them are total upsets. Al Waha is good for parties with many people who want to try hookah, or return to it, you can bu alota al waha in large varities of flavors and have alota fun.
But shisha is shisha, if it smokes, and somewhat well use it!

*nice meaning, i havnt found a REALLY expensive shisha yet, to slap the label of "fine wine" on it.*

Hey all,

We had actually done something like this just to get a visual for tobacco quality (perceived) vs. price(perceived). This diagram should be easy to read, but if you have any questions just leave a post or PM us.

Basically, the lower the circle is on the Y-axis and the farther down on the x-axis the better the value.

example:
Fumari is the highest quality (perceived) but its also the highest price, so it is not the best value.

Prices are based on Hookah Life website prices unless those brands are not carried by us.
Fumari is based on the price of $10 for 100 gm (10 x 2.5 = 25).

Regards,
Hookah Life

So according to our graph Tangiers is the best value followed by Al Fakher and Layalina. These opinions are based on our personal perceived quality along with customers and friends.

im gonna go out on a limb and completely agree with HL
like i said earlier, at $20 a tub starbuzz is just killer. and there is no buzz. at all. if i want something really flavorful, i'll eat food. if i want something really flavorful, relaxing, and totally awesome, ill smoke shisha. and i pretty much exclusively smoke tangiers, AF, and Layalina, with a few tubs of al waha in there...

Yeah but you have to factor in the ease of smoking factor. Most people can't smoke Tangiers, or don't like it.

I can still get Al Fakher for $10 a box of eskandrani from a local store, and WOW you can't beat that with a stick!

I can get AF for $8 from a local store tongue.gif

Best bang for the buck with a buzz: Tangiers

Best bang for the buck with slight/no buzz: Al Fakher

Can you give me the address of this if it's in Orange County? I'm still paying $10 for the local one(World Smoke Shop), but if AF is that cheap, maybe other stuff is cheap at your local store too.

I think AF has the best quality to price ratio.

I don't think that's an adequate statement becuase those who have issues smoking Tangiers tobacco are only the ones who post about such issues, it's not a true sample of what the general population thinks of the tobacco.
