Mya Vortex Vs Mya Staff

Recommended Posts

Due to my recent rotator hookah getting broken I am looking into buying a new hookah.

Right now i'm looking at the Mya Vortex 2 hose and the Mya Staff 2 hose.
Do either of these smoke better than the other? ... or have better build/quality etc?

Also what are the best Mya hookahs within the $100-$200 range?
I've heard great things about them, but never owned one myself.

The last one I bought was a MYA and it has become my main smoker.

I can't link it but its called the frost on southsmoke.

Its a good height and has a big base so i can leave it on the floor without my cat knocking it down. It also has o-rings on all the parts of the stem where the screw threads are. The only problem with it is that it doesnt actually screw together (base and stem). So thats the only downside. It comes in the little case which is decent since i only use it to transport my hookah around.

Overall a good buy and its very easy to clean since everything unscrews and breaks down into about 5 pieces.

get a vortex. the staff bases are TICKING TIME BOMBS. i really didnt mean to yell, but when you uell ticking time bombs tis so much more effecting than just saying it.

if i had $200 to spend on a mya, i'd get a floweret or a paragaon, or a collosus... lol. or any hookah under the "specialty" section of h-s

I ended up getting a Mya Gyro 3-hose.

Anyone have experience with these?

You can expect of review of mine the week after it arrives.

Wow not much input from us huh. I personally would have gotten a 2 hose vortex, more hoses= more problems. I have the vortex and it hits like a champ!

Well I usually have people over smoking hookah so I figured the 3-hose wouldn't be a bad idea but I know what you mean.

I heard their auto-seal valves are pretty good so I can use it for as a 1 hose when Im smoking alone.
I almost got the vortex but the style of the gyro was killer. I turned down the mya staff because it looks like it'll tip over easily

I agree, I bought the stem adaptor as well and run it as a 2 hose...

I absolutely love the base.

hows that stem adapter work for you? i was thinking of buying it but a few people told me that you don't get as good a hit off it with the two hoses hooked in.

So far my auto-seal adapter has worked rather well. I keep the ball bearing clean and the adapter itself and seals very well. There is two choices in the adapter ( auto seal and just regilar adapter) .
