mushrat
If you are talking about Straight Edge as in the movement, if they can smoke cigarettes they can smoke hookah. If they can't, I wouldn't imagine so.
cypress
An interesting article on this. When I first read it I could not believe what actually goes on. I guess embrace if you are a straight edge member you might not want to consider that. You might get the crap beaten out of you. They are agaist tabbaco products which included hookah smoking. mushrat
Yup, suburban terrorists... No better than any other terrorist group domestic or foreign. Only governments can resort to force if you don't agree with them, don't they know that? And I would definitly say, NO THEY WOULDN'T SMOKE A HOOKAH. supachink
LOL, i was a straight edger in highschool for a while, i used to wear a pin that said "its okay not to drink" at huge bashes and i would just go and have a good time... I was not neccissairly pressing my opinion on to other people but i was just not drinking or doing anything that the "IN CROWD" was doing, but that didnt last too long. I no smoke ciggerattes, drink alocohol, tried many drugs, and smoke hookah on a regular basis. I would definitly have to say its more fun not being straight edge, but its also more dangerous... my two cents.

John Deere
Yeah, I dont think you should have to be part of some group to determine whether or not you are going to do certain things. If you dont want to drink or smoke, then dont. You dont need to be "straight edge" to be able to refrain from certain things. Just dont do it if you dont want to, and dont let others pressure you. Just because you smoke hookah doesnt mean that you also have to drink, or do drugs, these are separate, individual choices. It's all about using judgement and self control. 1¢
