Mathazar
Sorry mush, I couldn't hold-out, I went out and bought another Sultan hookah, and some Layalina, Nakhla, Al-Fakher, and Vivi Coals. Enough to last me at least a couple weeks. It would probably be enough to last everyone else a couple months. I also went online to CigarsInternational and ordered 60 cigars, hopefully enough to last me the next month until I get my next check. I guess I'm the type of person that you literally have to lock-up and throw away the key for an indefinite period of time to get me to quit smoking. I'm Soooo hooked on the hookah and cigars that I just can't fathom the thought of quitting. Going as long as I did without lighting-up was like putting my neck in a noose and hanging there while the rope gets tighter & tighter. Well, okay, maybe it's not all THAT bad, but it was pretty insane going that long without a smoke. I forgot how long it's been. Hmmm......1 week? Well, it's in this thread, I'm just too lazy to go look for it. Thanks for all the enthusiasm to quit, though I guess it went on deaf ears. But I am still working-out on the treadmill. Although, because of my bad back, I can only do a slow walk at level 2, which is good because if I'm going to be smoking the hookah, I doubt very much that I'd be able to handle the higher exercise levels on the treadmill. I probably will be smoking a minimum of 5 or more bowls a day. But, I'm going to try to cut-back. I know I've said that before, but this time it's for real.....Yeah right Math Anyway, I've got to make this stuff last at least 3 weeks, because I'm going to be extremely short on cash, like broke, until I get my next check. Because of my last hookah, charcoal, and ma'assel purchase over at Hookah-Shisha & HookahHookah, I sort of over-extended myself financially, and now I'm going to be overdrawn in my checkbook for the next 3 weeks. Every week I get $200, and every 3rd week I get $1500, so that will help aleviate the bank's concerns over whether or not to close my account for going SO far overdrawn. But, it's not going to make them happy. I'm like around $800 over-drawn because of several purchases I made recently. I hate being poor. I suppose I'm better-off than a lot of people, but I never seem to have enough money to support my hobbies, which are the Hookah, pipes and cigars. Well, that's the story for now. At least I'll have something to post in the forum. Now I'm off to post in the Vivi Coal thread

Mathazar
Have you ever had the feeling that you've heard this somewhere before? I QUIT AGAIN Only this time it's going to be for awhile, at least until I've lost all my weight. Yes I went out last night and bought another Sultan Hookah, along with 2 kilos of Vivi Coals, and some sh*tty Layalina and Nakhla ma'assel. But, the reason I quit is not because of the brand of ma'assel, I quit because I realised that ma'assel is made with either honey or molasses, and when you inhale you are essentially taking sugar into your body. Well, I'm on the Atkins Diet and sugar and carbohydrates are not on the diet. That little tidbit of information just happened to slip my mind as I was buying all this stuff last night. So, this time rather than throw everything away, I just put everything into the cabinet, and one year from now when the weight is gone, maybe I'll start smoking the hookah again. And In all likelyhood, I probably will start again, but with different ma'assel, because the crap I've got now isn't even worth opening the cabinet for. My diet is FAR more important to me than some stupid smoking habit. Of course, I will continue to smoke cigars & pipe tobacco, because it doesn't effect my diet in any way, and quite frankly I love the flavor FAR more even than hookah tobacco. So that's it, I quit for now, and nothing will entice me to go back to it. The only way that I would smoke that hookah now is if I had some Romman or Fumari Watermelon, but aside from that I have no reason whatsoever to EVER touch the hookah again. I HATE Nakhla and Layalina, I knew it was a mistake buying that stuff. But, I must say, those Vivi Coals are pretty damn good. Well, I guess maybe this means goodbye for now, I think I may take a little break from the forum for awhile. Perhaps I'll go play some World of Warcraft or a WWII shooter. See ya

mushrat
Try Dark Age of Camelot. Far better than WOW. The pvp in wow is so bad its sending people in droves BACK to Daoc from whence they came... I'm Mushrat on the nimue server, Midguard realm. If you decide to give it a try I can hook you up there... Sorry for the off topic. Back to your regular smoking good time. brother812
JD-.....LOL Mush- WoW released battlegrounds and that has made pvp worth doing again where they are lacking is the end game. i lived on EQ for a few years before going to WoW and i am enjoying it allot. as for DAoC i never did play it so i cant comment but from what i have read about it, it didn't seem like the game for me. actually i really miss the depth of EQ but i don't miss the ulcers i got from the endless time sinks . games are like shisha flavors their is no such thing as the perfect one for everyone. sorry bout the off topic.. Math- well i wish you all the luck in the world quitting........again. if you have allot of time on your hands you want to spend playing a game then look at everquest. i took a year off, burnt myself out working 60-80 hour weeks for a few years and decided to take some time off, in that time i lived on EQ. great game if you have the time to play but it isn't good for a diet i gained 60 pounds that year i sat on my ass playing that game. my best advice for loosing weight is taking a hammer to your computer and all your TV's in time boredom will drive you out of the house and make you more active ..... yashman19
I could never afford the Pay to Play Games. So I just stuck to Diablo II Lord of Destruction. Yes the game has more hacks than EQ or WoW, but they come out with patches every so often and its a fun, cheap thrill of a game. Anyone else play? Mathazar
bro812.........I don't mind if this turns into a gaming thread, where else are we going to talk about it. I played EQ for 3 years............NON-STOP I actually LOST weight playing that and a few single/multiplayer games. The fact that I couldn't tear myself away from the computer, which at the time was an intriguing piece of machinery to me, I ended-up loosing 110 pounds. Of course, being on the Atkins Diet at the time didn't hurt. I lost 110 pounds in 10 months. Literally, the only times I EVER left the computer was to eat, pee, and sleep. And many nights I just fell asleep at the computer all night long, waking-up with a VERY stiff neck. I never got ANY exercise, and I lost all that weight just sitting there playing games. Nowadays, games tend to bore me. I don't know if it's because I'm getting older, or if it's because there really hasn't been any GREAT game releases in the last 2 years. Having wasted time & money on EQ2, I'm thoroughly tired and sick of MMORPGs based in Rennaisance Period games, such as EQ2 and DAoC. I'm an Action/Adventure Gamer, but the problem with Adventure Games is that you always have to solve stupid puzzles, such as with Syberia or The Longest Journey, in order to advance in the game. If you guys want to play a REALLY sensational Action/Adventure game, go to: www.TryGames.com and run a search for OUTCAST. You can download the full version of the game right off their site for $14.95 and I guarantee you it's WELL worth it. You'll want to play this game over & over again. The graphics are a little dated, as it was released in 1999, but I swear you're gonna absolutely fall in love with OUTCAST. Here are the Cheat Codes if you need them: www.gamewinners.com/DOSWIN/bloutcast.htm You may find "Give All Weapons" & "Unlimited Ammo" useful, as I did. After you download & install the game, right-click on the desktop icon for OUTCAST, click Properties, Click Compatibiltiy Tab, and under Compatibility Mode, put a check in the box for Windows 98/Windows ME. This is for all of you running WinXP that might have trouble running the game because the game was built to be played with the Windows 98 Operating System. This is the MOST KICK-ASS Action/Adventure game I've ever played. You can roam around freely, and do the quests in any order you want. It's AWESOME!!! As far as quitting, my diet is so much more important to me than smoking the hookah. I just wish I had realised that before going out and buying all that stuff
Mathazar
No offense, but I give it 2 days.....
Yep, JD, 2 days was about right What can I say, I'm a DIEHARD addict. I've bought 10 hookahs, each time trying to quit. I couldn't do it then and I can't do it now. Ho-Hum! I'm hooked for life
Soup
Math, like we've been saying...keep it in moderation. Cut back little by little. Heres something to go by: Make it your goal for only one bowl a day. Once you've reached that and have not the cravings for more than one a day, go to once every two days. Keep that system going untill its once a week. It may take some time but I believe you can do it! Go Math!!!
Mathazar
Well, you know what Soup, that's not going to be a difficult goal to achieve, because the ma'assel that I'm smoking absolutely BLOWS!!! I've found that that's my key to success with smoking in moderation, smoking tobacco that SUCKS!!! Right now I'm smoking Nakhla Double Apple & Lemon and Al-Fakher Grape & Ark Sous. Actually, the Grape & Ark Sous aren't horrible, they're smokable, but I don't see myself getting hooked to them anytime soon. I've been doing 2 bowls a day with Vivi Natural Wood Coals. And I could EASILY see myself going down to 1 bowl a day, considering I smoke in the range of 3 to 4 cigars a day. Cigars are my weakness. I'm not even that addicted to Pipe Smoking, mainly because I haven't found a tobacco I really like. But, cigars are my passion. I was sitting online today looking at Cigar Humidors and thinking about taking-out a $10,000 Personal Loan so that I can buy the MOST sophisticated Humidor/Humidification system I've EVER seen! This thing is FANTASTIC!!! I've been looking several months for a Cigar Humidor like this, and I'm just ONE financial loan away from getting it. I more than likely will not go into debt to buy this system, but it SURE IS TEMPTING Thanks for the advice Soup
