scifi3018
So tonight I enjoyed the first smoke from my new hookah with a handfull of people and beers. The hookah smoked great, and my Jap Golden coals lasted about 30min each which isnt that bad (I guess). The only things I noted was that the stem could use a diffuser so that it doesnt rattle so much. There was a small leak where the stem connects to the metal part that screws onto the vase (its a rotator).I figure that some T-tape can fix the joint, any objections to using T-tape on hookah joints? The biggest problem was that after I packed the bowl (not 100% full) and put the foil on, the coal weighed the foil down onto the shisha. This produced an audible burning noise, thus crispifying a little shisha... Is there anything that Im doing wrong with the foil? It jsut didnt want to stay taut...I really enjoyed my double apple and mint shisha tonight, and I cant wait to try my Cherry and Strawberry (excellent experience with strawberry in the past)
nofrendo
The foil tightness is about technique... also about the size of your bowl... you could just pack it less if the bowl is too big for the foil to be fully taut. You could also try using a bigger piece of foil. And try poking your holes with something smaller or sharper so it doesn't ruin the tension. guyt
also double foiling might help sometimes
leadpipecinch21
poking the holes before putting the foil on helps a bit too, but as metal heats up, it expands, and is inevitably going to droop a little bit...
