Jshenrikson
Hey Guys,I live in the bay area and I was wondering what the quality of Whelan's (Bancroft and Telegraph in Berkeley) homemade shisha was? I know I've heard of other people talking about it once or twice on here and I'm just curious what other people think. I've been smoking their double apple a lot. MechAnt
Their house blend is rumored to be Fumari. Either way its pretty damn good despite its price.
nofrendo
Been there. Let me tell you, the smoke shop, and the deals that they have are EXCELLENT. The shisha is not fumari, although they will order fumari for you if you ask them for it. The quality of it is good, but not worth the price IMHO. Buy your hookah there, buy your coals there, skip the shisha, buy it online. They will usually throw in a pack for free if you buy a hookah there, plus they give you a 20% discount for life if you buy a hookah from them. Another shop worth checking out is Stogie's in El Cerrito. It's a pretty well stocked shop, but the real treat is the hookah lounge upstairs. All you can smoke of the house blend for $15. Pretty good.

dcfc80
I was just there in Aug and picked up double apple and blueberry. I love it. I still have most of the blueberry. I smoke a lot of Apple flavors.
