mrmonk7663
Hello. Pimpyourhookah has a deal going on for 3 100gm of starbuz and a kg of extoica coals for $25. Seems like a descent deal to me...until I get to the shipping part of the order. They are wanting $15 to ship that small order. For $15 I could literally ship this stuff to my brother in Iraq. Anyone found a coupon for shipping or something like this, or does anyone know somewhere with a good deal on Starbuzz in 100gm? Thanks.Salam, michael
MechAnt
The only other retailer I know that sells it that small is Social Smoke. Try them out. Great service from them too!
libidiny
hmm..i ordered 3 100g cans today, before noticing the special they had going on. shipping was only $6, but it didnt include the starbuzz charcoal. socialsmoke.com is decent, but i think their shipping is about the same and they dont carry some of the newest starbuzz flavors like lemon tea, wild mint, or passion fruit mojito. ZenSilk
Umm, well, Bilal doesnt have discount codes i know of for PYH. But look at the Al Fahker prices. 9.95 for 300 grams of tobacco. And those anrent exotica coals, they are natural starbuzz coals, which are in chunk form, not fingers, so they are a little hard to manage. I do admit starbuzz has the best flavors... But think of it this wayAF is 300 grams for 9.95SB is 100 grams for 9.95You get 200 grams more of AF, and it's almost the same quality.

mrmonk7663
Yah the price is good, but, the price sucks when shipping is taken into consideration. It is overinflated big time. Same crap people do on Ebay. If you want to offer a good deal to your customers, then do it, don't try to hide charges and simply switch them to other places. That is crap if you ask me. Can you tell i'm aggrivated lol :-) Goodnight everyone!!!Salam,Michael
Johnny_D
$15 to ship a kilo of coal.I think there is some tight fisted-ness going on here.Try being an international customer.JD - International customer.
lazria
1 kilo = 2.2 pounds100g (not including weight of tin) = 3.9 ozplus the weight of the box and packaging - estimated @ 4 poundsand take into consideration where PYH is and where you are...$15 is about right. Check USPS.com if want to check... 4lbs from CA to VA is about $13.89, not including DC or Insurance.

But yeah.. shipping is downright shitty. Hookahcomapny seems to be the best in my opinion. And I would much rather ALWAYS be smoking starbuzz. It's amazing tobacco, don't get me wrong. I just don't know if 20 bucks is something i wanna spend everytime i want tobacco. I will buy all the key delicious flavors for sure, but only from Hookahcompany (and now since they have exoticas..... )
mrmonk7663
$15 is too much. USPS has a new program, it costs $8.95 to ship internationally ANYWHERE in the world. You can ship up to 70lbs as long as it fits in the box they give you. You have to get the box from them. My family and I do this weekly with my brother in Iraq. So I say again $15 is crap. Also, you can even go to the UPS site (not USPS) and plug in the details and shipping via their website says $10 and some change. Any way you cut it $15 is too much. I'm not pissed because I have to pay shipping, i'm pissed because I have to pay shipping plus EXTRA MONEY for nothing.
lazria
Yeah, I got a 10 pk of the "flat rate priority" boxes for free ( the 8.95) from Ebay. But I was explaining where the cost comes from. Now if you're an hour away, why don't you see if you can pick it up. Yes, if PYH used Fedex or Ups it would be cheaper, but I can't say why he does as he does. RayVer
maybe handling charges are added to that?
New2Hookah
handling charges on an order so small would not amount to that much. Im sure PYH is a good vendor, cause alot of people seem to be happy, but then again, there are alot of people unsatisfied. Use your judgment wisely... mrmonk7663
I'm not judging Bilal, I don't know him. I'm sure he's a good guy. All i'm saying is I believe he would do alot better to re-think his shipping. I can honestly say he will not be getting any business from me specifically because of the shipping. I don't think i'm being tight fisted at all. With the amount of hookah stuff and tobacco I buy, I have to watch what I spend. That $15 in shipping can get me 500grm of Al Fakher locally. Anyway, i'm done whining and complaining with this whole thing. It is what it is I suppose. Salam,Michael

New2Hookah
USPS DOES have flat rate boxes for $8.95, but this cost is only for the lower 48. Use can use that same flat rate box for international. The flat rate for international orders is somewhere around $37.00 I believe. As long as you can fit in there, any weight up to 20 pounds can be shipped for this amount. They also have a flat rate option for Canada and Mexico, $23.00. Here\'s the link:Look under \"Priority Mail International\"http://www.usps.com/ratecase/simplified_in...ional_rates.htmHere is a more straight forward look at the flat-rate box from USPS:http://www.usps.com/shipping/flatrate.htm

mrmonk7663
Hey guys, as far as the Iraq shipping, I swear to God we ship to Iraq for 8.95 up to 70lbs. I don't care who believes me or who is calling me a liar. We do it all the time. If an APO is like to NY< then perhaps its not the whole world like I suggested, but regardless, 70lbs for 8.95. I appreciate everyone calling me a liar though Good stuff. And the sarcasm about WMDs...very cool....good God.Salam,Michael

mrmonk7663
How cheap do I want it? I have the bloody box here at my home and I can fit a kilo of coals in it, and lots of shisha if I wanted. As far as the price, like I said, according to the UPS website shipping is $10 and change from the location of their shop to me. As our moderator has already said and what we all know is true, companies get shipping discounts. Maybe where you live $15 for 300gms of coal and a kg of shisha is a good deal, but its not a good deal here bro, not for what would be ordered. Take care and I don't know why you are so heated with me, my comments were directed at a price for a service, not at an individual and certainly not at you. Johnny_D
You miss my point.Mushrat makes a fair point regarding discounts for sure. But It's $15. If I spent so much time worrying about £7.50 I'd give myself a heart attack.I often pay around 10% more than the actual cost of shipping. But I can live with that. As Oggie pointed out, your comparison is not really valid as the us government picks up 90% of the actual shipping costs. Also - PYH is not on this forum to comment. Have you actually asked the vendor about it?JD
