sss
Hi. I need to buy a new hookah but not sure what to get get. I'm thinking of getting 2 Mya hookahs, one Mya bambino or QT S class (which one should i buy??) and also planning on buying a normal mya hookah aswel. Are multiple hose pipes any good from Mya?? or should i stick to a standard one hosed pipe??I'd appreciate it if anyone can help. Thanks!!
billy
If you're going to be sharing a hookah then a multi hose would be good otherwise no point really.

sss
Yea, sometimes i have like 8 people at my house smoking so i'll maybe get a 4 pipe. I was just worried that the 4 pipe wouldnt be as good a 1 pipe.Still though, if anyones got more advice for me let me know.
New2Hookah
If you\'re going to get a 4 Hose anything, it should be a Syrian.
ZenSilk
No the 4 hose pipes don't smoke as well as a one hose pipe, and a mya doesnt smoke as well as an Egyptian or Syrian. Mya's have common chambers, so the smoke sits in the heart and waits for you to pull it and there is no tube for the smoke to be brought into through the heart, so you get less smoke. But mya's are for sure great quality. I just don't like unscrewing all the parts to clean it, as the threads can easily crack. I would prefer a small egyptian for your personal smoke (instead of a QT) and Mya probably makes some of the best 4 hose rig's with Auto-seal and the look great, so i'm with you on that one. I have heard great things about the Mya Vortex. Everyone likes theirs. The acrylic four hose is also great, i have one myself.
rowland
I like my Mya Gyro, its a single hose which can be converted up 4 hoses. I wont lie it does not pull as well and my Egyptian but it is a good pipe none the less and drop dead beautiful.
MechAnt
With Myas, I'd recommend no more than two hoses. My experience with 4-hosers has never been a good one. The constant communication between four people to decide who's turn is next disrupts the social interaction of the group. With two hoses, just a nod to the other person is all that is needed. If you want more than two, then stick with three. That way, communication won't be so bad and you get to keep the purge valve. Mya's versatile features are one of the big things that I love about them.

MechAnt
Heh, yea. We had a 4 hose pipe at a party i went to on wednesday along with my two hose acrylic, a single hose egyptian and a two hose egyptian. The latter three, we were having an awesome time and getting to know each other better while the 4 hoser, you can hear people yelling at each other to plug their hoses and who's turn it was. Needless to say, I stuck with the lesser hosed pipes and had an AWESOME time.
everydayshisha
www.jandRhookah.com. That blue genie syrian 29"single hose ate top notch. I recommend those for a second hookah

MechAnt
When you try to take simultaneous hits, its restricts the flow A LOT. Maybe it was just the pipe. Perhaps it had a common chamber that further restricts the flow if more than one person took a hit at a time.
mrmonk7663
The auto seal prevents you from taking hits simultaneously. Also, MechAnt, what good would the purge valve be with the auto seal system, wouldn't this negate the usage of the purge valve? Thanks, mike
ZenSilk
I dont ever purge with my Acrylic Mya because so many people are smoking simultaneously (as allia said). The smoke doesnt get stale. And i'm pretty good managing so there is no harshness ever (most people on here are at this level or higher...)When 2 people take hits at the same time, the clouds are very decent. When 3 people go they are alright, when 4 people go theres enough smoke to blow some smoke rings and get some curls, not too cloudy though. I just smoked with 4 people, and it was amazing. Granted, we were smoking Starbuzz, which is ALWAYS cloudy and lovely. The common chamber actually makes it easier for people to pull at the same time. All of the smoke is in the heart, sitting, waiting. Each perosn doesnt have to pull through a singlw tube, restricting the flow even more so. My Mya smokes great everytime. I love it. Smokes as well as my KM almost.
mrmonk7663
I am slightly confused. If You have more than one hose, and if there is no auto seal system in place (it sounds like your hookah has no auto seal if everyone can smoke at once) Then upon inhallation isn't air entering from the unused hose ports if the other participants are not either smoking at the exact same time and/or coverthing their mouthpiece? The additional air tends to thin the smoke out...Set me staright on this please :-) thanks.Salam,Mike
MechAnt
For my MYA, I don't like using auto-seal systems because they restrict airflow quite a bit. On top of that, no matter how good my heat management is, there always manages to be someone that thinks the smoke is too harsh so I really like the ability to keep the use of my purge valve. I do have one regular and one autoseal port but I always use the regular one so I can manage the smoke and less restriction. Recently I even took the bearing out of the autoseal because the people I smoke with are very well rehearsed with hookah and know to cover their hoses when not in use.Mike, your latest post is indeed correct. With no autoseal system in place, the hoses do need to be covered or drawn upon all the time otherwise, air will get in and thin out the smoke you're inhaling. mrmonk7663
Ok, thanks for the clarification. Your post makes a good point though. What if you had a mya that was capable of 4 hoses, and you ran only 3 keeping a purge. In two of the hoses you could have the autoseal, and in YOUR hose you could have no auto seal. This would essentially make you keeper of the hookah for the session and give you free control to purge...This would be great since most of the time if you are making and setting up the hookah for your buds, chances are you are better suited to managing the hookah anyway. Does this sound good? I am not thinking about buying one. The only draw back to this configuration would be that even with 3 hoses, only one of the auto sealers and yourself could smoke at the same time...but hey, they can manage. They wouldnt need the nod from you to smoke, just the nod from each other thus easy communication for all smokers.
guyt
Just get the 4 Hose King Tut from H-S with a genie base. There are four holes in the heart/core so you can easily have everyone use it at once. The downstem is really really long so you can have a ton of smoke in the vase. I've had it for a while now, it is amazing. Its great for parties because its so bottom heavy it won't tip. Add nammor hoses to it and you have a perfect session. If you order over the phone they should give you the Mod bowl, which is huge, for free instead of the egyptian bowls. With this setup you have to really try hard to screw things up.
