Skitalets
So I have honestly never been much of a mixer at home -- I usually just smoke one flavor straight. A friend of mine used to do all the mixing when we smoked, but he moved recently.Anyhow, I was trying to do a mix of AW strawberry and vanilla today, but it's my first time mixing in the phunnel and it didn't really turn out. I layered the vanilla on the bottom, then filled with strawberry, and sprinkled a little more vanilla in the spots that weren't quite full. The smoke was fine, but I got very little vanilla taste.Anyone else have experience with this? I was thinking maybe if I had alternated the tobacco in different sections of the phunnel or something it might have worked better. Wondering what other people do... Shifty
Usually I premix in a little cup or something, then add to the funnel after that.
rbyers
Premixing is probably your best bet.
nofrendo
I usually fill up the phunnel with one side of one flavor and one side with the other... works pretty good
cymptom
Mixing or sectioning is the best way to do it in the funnel. Laying doesn't seem to work as well because of the way air flows through the tobacco.
MechAnt
Cymptom hit the nail on the head! Layering works fantastically on regular bowls especially with mint on the bottom and fruit of choice on top. Yummy!
Skitalets
Thanks, everyone. I'll give pre-mixing a shot. May try sectioning too at some point, but pre-mixing sounds like it would come out more consistently. It honestly hadn't even occurred to me. :-)
