Phunnel And No Tangiers?

I've only tried Tangiers out of the phunnel without the mod, every other one I use the mod with it. Does any other tobacco really work without the Mod? Does Starbuzz smoke better with or without the Mod? Just ordered some more Tangiers (Blueberry, Peach Ice Tea and Horchata) as well as some X Starbuzz. Wondering how I should smoke the X when I get it.

I have tried this, i was wondering this same thing. I found that the SB burns too easily when there is no Mod in place, it burns all the way down to the juices at the bottom. The Mod lifts the coals slightly over the foil surface, and doesnt burn the Sb. The smoke is amazing. I'll even post up a picture of it if you want. I also smoekd Pumpkin Pie SB last night. Amazing as well.

I lost my mod, thats why Im asking. And for some crazy reason Hookah Company doesnt seem to carry them. Anyways, might be worth a shot with the SB. I might also just make a mod, Scali style.

See, theer ya go. Put in some good 'ol elbow grease. MnHookahs has the Mod. I think you are located pretty close to them from what i've read of your travels. . But Maybe try overpacking SB just a little bit. So it doesn't block airflow to the center.

I've done Romman with the ghetto phunnel, and no mod. Was not as good as a real phunnel and mod but still pretty nice.
