armenakadino Posted October 15, 2007 Share Posted October 15, 2007 Well I had a few questions about stargate hookahs, I was reading on hookah shisha that the stem breaks into 3 allowing you to make the small medium or large size, but I remember reading in the forum somewhere that it does not do that. I was just wondering does it or not. MechAnt Posted October 15, 2007 Share Posted October 15, 2007 The hose is an older style MYA hose. As for the pipe itself, it LOOKS authentic but so do the mini ones in local stores. The only thing I don't like about it is the vase itself is plastic. I've heard of people breaking it with temp changes when dropping in ice, therefore no ice in the vase with these.I was thinking of buying one but I went with a Mya Gyro instead.. It leans quite a bit, and the threads on the stem that attach it to the base are plastic and have broken already. And I've only used it a handful of times (still get a bad plastic taste no matter how well I wash it... "Made in China" stickers all over it too that I had to tear off... bleh). It's more of a conversation piece than a true smoker IMO. Heck, the free mini MYA acrylic smokes my Stargate to shame. I just wish I didn't spend all that $ on it. Ouch.I will have a replacement soon however. SocialSmoke.com has that awesome marble Syrian that I just ordered like an hour ago. Can't wait to get that thing in my hands!
