Rosetta Anyone?

So I made a reference in my post to having picked up Rosetta in a local store b/c thats the only thing that is carried there. I assumed b/c I had never seen it any online shop and only two reviews on here that it wasn't that great so I haven't really worked with it much, I've stuck to the Al-awaha I picked up at another shop. However I was corrected when someone said that rosetta was a great brand. I did try smoking the only flavor I have which is the Vanilla Spice again and with the tips from everyone here I got it to smoke up GREAT. Despite the amount of smoke though, there was not much taste to it. In general I don't see many vanillas that do have a thick taste so its possible that this is the reason. So whats the story people? Has anyone tried this stuff and if so why are there no more reviews out there? I'm willing to try some more as the shop here locally has it but I'm really tempted just to order some starbuzz as everyone says the flavor is great. Just looking for some answers! Thanks!

I've smoked only one or two puffs of Rosetta before. There were some guys with their pipe in one of the quads at my school and i asked for a few puffs. It tasted great! It was fruity but couldn't place it. After a little more research on the brand, I've heard only good things about it. Practice, practice and your smoking will get only better. Vanilla isn't a strong flavor in most shisha anyway.

I have tried all the flavors as of today. i don't recomend rasberry at all. Mango is amazing. I like vanilla spice. Grape soda is good. Cherry is good although not my favorite. Blueberry is alright.. I dont like strawberry creme. Haha. It's hard to get good smoke, you need quite a bit of heat.

It's made by Kretek, the people who make some Clove Cigarettes. It's not bad shsiha at all, just the rasberry. I hate it's guts. I can't stand it. But that's cause of the super-strong candy flavor. The rest is very good. And it's cheap, like 2 bucks for 50 g.

I've found it at several local shops, $2 for 50g.

So far the Cherry Bomb has been my favorite (out of: Peach Passion, Strawberry Cream, Grape Soda). Heard that Watermelon & Blueberry are good, Vanilla is alittle weak on flavor. Strawberry has a strange taste to it, similar to smoking a Clove Ciggy.

Pretty mellow smoke, good flavor, decent clouds. It can sometimes be heat sensative. For the price, you can't beat it. But I would say to shop around the local tobacco shops to try and find it, unless you buy the whole line-up of flavors as a sample somewhere online.

the only one i tried was vanila soice and it tasted bad... but if it tastes like most vanilias ill give it another try otherwise im trading it.

So I went to the local store and picked up a few more flavors of this to try out and I'm planning to write full reviews of these once I get a few more sessions in. I tried both the mango madness and the grape soda. neither one however seemed to have a very strong taste. Also both of them had a sort of "medicine cabinet" taste to them. I'm thinking that since the taste was VERY similar its possible that it was something in my hookah so I'm breaking that down for a through cleaning and will try again tonight.

Resurrecting an old thread.

Seems this product is hard to find, I only found out about it a week or 2 ago, while visiting a smoke shop in New York. They were not exactly promoting their shisha offerings, having them buried in a glass case at ankle-level down a narrow aisle, woulda never known it was there if I was not actively looking in all the cases.

Anyway, they only had Rosetta vanilla spice, and then some other wretched fruity crappy things I'd never heard of, didn't pay attention to the brand names cos the flavors looked repulsive. So, I grabbed the rosetta vanilla. Nice package, 50g size, shrink-wrapped cardboard. Inside is a heavy poly sealed bag, all of the shisha is squished into 1 end of the bag and the juice is somewhat seperating, it looks extremely wet, and red. I flattened the product out and spread the juice back around. Looks better now, I don't see any stems or trash in the product, but I haven't opened it yet.

Smells wonderful, fruity, hint of vanilla but not predominant. Ingredients list indicates the product is composed of: Tobacco (0.5% nicotine, 0.0% tar), Honey, Corn Syrup, Glycerine, Sugar, Natural & Fruit Flavors. "Natural flavors" is usually a euphamism for all kinds of not-so-nice things, and the distinct lack of "vanilla" in the ingredients is disappointing, but in general the product would appear to be "all natural" -- at least there's no "artificial colors/flavors" on the list. And the nicotine content is as high as any other shisha I've seen, should produce a nice buzz!

Ohh, the package also says "Made in USA" which I suppose is a good thing. There's also a production date of 10/07 and an expiration date of 10/09 on the package.

I'm planning to write a full review for this forum, once I smoke it. I'm waiting on a new hookah

Shame this product is not more widely available, the online shops I have seen carrying it, are charging a high price for it. Hoping to see this brand more in the future, and perhaps some of the popular shisha shops will start offering it. I'd like to try some of the other flavors.

I walked into a shop one time, and all they had was one 250g of Watermelon Rosetta in the whole place. I picked it up (for $12) and it actually wasn't bad. Not high-quality stuff, but not horrible either.

I picked up some the other day as a real last ditch.... i had gone through probably 300g of AF strawberry in the last week and a half and our local smoke shop on campus is closed for break (the only place within 75 miles carrying a selection of shisha) however i did find rosetta and here is my thoughts on it (i think i reviewed one of the flavors in the review thread.... more to come)

Blueberry- Awful....gross..... bad.... whatever you can come up with. Tastes like blueberry cough syrup. we threw the rest of the 50G away

Raspberry- Contrary to everyone else I didn't think it was that bad. Kind of chemically flavored, but that feeling went away and the raspberry flavor was there, not huge smoke but it was ok.

Vanilla Spice - (i reviewed this in the review section if you want more in depth). I thought it was too much on the spice and not enough on the vanilla but it was alright. I'm keeping the rest of my 50g as a mixer as its not so supurb as to smoke it straight again..

Peach Passion & Pineapple - Smoked these two in a 50/50 mix so the mini review comes as such.... really enjoyed it. Everyone smoking it did. As a last ditch to have a different flavor this was probably the best of the pickup

Cherry Bomb - Meh, it was alright. Too Sugary for my tastes but i finished the head of it. Kinda tastes like Cherry Lifesavers.

Those are all the rosetta flavors i've tried..... kinda pricy where i bought it (i wanna say it was like 3.30 for a 50G but we really needed something besides strawberry)

Anyways I don't really know if that helps you out at all but thats what i got out of the 6 flavors of this brand that I have tried. I'll probably pass on it for some AF/Tangiers/Starbuzz/Nakhla but its good to have around i guess?

I was at a random gas station close by and they only carry Rosetta as well, it was the first time I saw Rosetta I had never even heard of it. I never buy it though because he has it priced a little high. I always am curius about it though.

I've tried a few more times using multiple flavors(grade soda, mango and watermelon) and I'm still not impressed. I do like the Vanilla Spice(the only vanilla I actually like to use outside of AF) but overall I don't care for it.
