antihero1251
I am looking to purchase my first Hookah and all i see are different sizes and shapes and colors, what does each atribute (beside color) help me with. or are they all just for what kind of look i want. i am guessing that a bigger base holds more smoke in the chamber meaning bigger hits and thicker smoke but honestly i dont have the slightest clue. i was thinking of buying a new one for around 50-70 dollers, but if i understand what the difference is than maybe i will spend more/less. also witch style do you perfer, like egyptian, modern, pumpkin ect. poopooshaboo
Within pretty much all categories you can find a crappy hookah, and a hookah that hits like a dream. It all depends on how much you spend and how much research you do. Different people prefer different styles; there isn't really any one "best" type of hookah. Zildjian
i like my mya a lot. my girlfriend has the mini acrylic and it works great actually! nice thick smoke and all. but yea, the bigger the chamber the more smoke. they are also made differently. some have autoseal some dont (single hoses dont at all) but it is about look a lot. poopooshaboo
Different materials and quality of materials comes into play as well. Stainless steel vs plated steel vs brass, etc.

ZenSilk
Tall hookahs = longer time for the smoke to cool. Brass core = the middle tube that runs down the whole stem is brass, doesnt rust, is more durableStainless steel = Ability to rust if nto taken care of, but lighter than brass, and does not oxidize.Hose width = more smoke comes through at once, therefore bigger cloudsHose Length = Your preference mostlySyrian Hookah : Very elaborately decorated stem and vase, usually made of brass, usually machine made partsEgyptian Hookah : Handmade stem and vase, not always perfect, vase isnt as elaborate, cheaper in price, stainless steel construction mostly nowadays.I recomend an Egyptian with a brass core, or a Syrian form SocialSmokeHookah.com. antihero1251
what about the modern hookah's. i think they look the best but if they dont perform like egyptian than thats not good for me
poopooshaboo
MYA acrylics are some of the most versatile and rugged Hookahs you can get, as well as smoking like champs. I'd say the number one reason people DON"T buy them is their looks.
ZenSilk
Ohh, Modern. Well, that usually is Acrylic Myas, Bambinos, Divas, generally things made of stainless steel, thick stems, with auto-seal features. They arent bad at all.
