RayVer
All depends how dry it is and how much you have. Try 1 teaspoon of honey and mix it up..let it sit to soak a bit and then try it.QUOTE (Dekon @ Oct 17 2007, 11:39 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>QUOTE (RayVer @ Oct 17 2007, 11:36 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Try adding a little honey or glycerin and then smoke it.QUOTE (Dekon @ Oct 17 2007, 11:33 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Well some how my nahkla strawberry is dry. ZenSilk
don't be to worried about nahkla, it usually is pretty surprisingly dry. Unless you mean like dry dry, no juice at all.
Johnny_D
I just can't get my nahkla to love the funnel bowl. It's an old-time tobacco that appears to prefer the old-time setup To the dryness - add a little honey AND glycarin. I normally add about 20Glycarin and 15honey to 250g's of nahkla.Add more if it's mega dry.JD
ZenSilk
Hey me either! My sweet melon and phunnel are nemeses. My Mya bowl wroks great though. ANd i get quite a bit of flavor. Nahkla may be dry, but the flavor is there.
Dekon
Just ordered a phunnel bowl and some coals. I was thinking about ordering some tangiers but scared to smoke it because of the "harshness". Uh should i be worried about it? Acclimation will be kind of tough here in florida with all the ants and what not.. so ...
ZenSilk
Ants don't go near it because of the nicotine. If your worried, place a Pasta strainer over it while it acclimates. And it only smokes harsh when you don't get the setup perfect.
Apollo
i tried the glycerine thing cuz i was told it would make thicker smoke... i never experianced the thick smoke, and it just tasted shitty
Dekon
Uh okay i didn't have enough for some tangiers orange cream. But the phunnel is on the way! Also the honey thing helped a lot. Edited October 18, 2007 by Dekon
shisha fan
a little while i came across these little bottles called "bahrain honey oil", which is just honey mixed with glycerin and it comes in 50ml. that stuff is perfect for dried up tobacco. Jshenrikson
Hey Shisha Fan, where did you get said honey oil substance? My AW was not properly stored and though probably not worth saving, I still would like to.
erufiku
Where does one get glycerin anyway? I'm kinda ignorant on the subject...

The other stuff is normally for bum related things. Not sure I want to smoke that

Jshenrikson
I went down to the big supermarket in my area and they had no idea what glycerin was. Although oakland, Ca doesn't have the sharpest tools in the shed, I don't know if its possible to get it at a supermarket. is there anywhere else you can find the cooking-safe glycerin? Bulldog_916
Look in the baking supplies section, where all the oils and stuff are. You should see glycerol or glycerin, both are the same thing chemically. It will obviously have a brand name.
Jshenrikson
alright, so I found glycerin finally and I was wondering whats a good ratio of glycerin to honey? JD said 20 to 15, did you mean grams? I was thinking about making a bottle of the two mixed so whenever I thought something was dry I could just use the mix
