Having been brainwashed into the non-denominational thing at an early age I gotta say it's tough as Hell to break out of it and when you are you look back in at Ann Coulter and folks and go "Wow, I truly was brainwashed. This shit is sickening".

They're people just like everyone else. What makes their typical human behavior so difficult to stomach is that they do it with such an air of superiority and such hypocrisy. When you claim to be serving a higher power you better be able to seperate that "calling" from your own human tendencies/biases. Screw you Ann Coulter for influencing those who influenced me and messed up a good portion of my youth and thank you for being so insane that I remember why I'm now better off.

Anyone seen Jesus Camp? Terrifying.

Its always hardest when that kinda lifestlye is sorta shoved upon you as your birthright without giving you a chance to find out what you really believe about anything. I was the same way with Reformed Judaism, and I went through the whole bit of temple meetings, youth councils, you name it. I broke it off with them in my teens and I've found my own calling, and it has nothing to do with eastern seaboard 'reformed' jews.

We're so open minded when we're kids, its a shame to have to grow up looking back on that time of you life thinking that you wished people would just leave your values and beliefs alone. If society didn't have this "rule" that beliefs are a birthright and not a choice we would be much better off
